You miss my point. Most teachers will not be able to handle a gun. They are just not bred to it. When crisis confronts, they will choke.

But, they might be able to push a button and call the trained guard. The alarm button will guide the armed guards to the correct place in the school rather than lose time with them scrambling all over the place to figure out where the terrorist is.

No time out corner needed.

You've never been to my local shooting range/sporting club - a fair number of the members and those on the range at any given time are teachers from the local district.

I would think that the most important thing a teacher could do would be protect the students from harm. Everything else should be secondary. If they can’t stand the heat, then find another profession.

Well, I would definitely agree with that.

My apologies for harsh response.

While I am in favor of arming those teachers who believe that they could be effective with a firearm, I also think that most teachers would not be very effective at all. They simply are not trained to kill, nor arrest or subdue.

I am very much in favor of an in school armed response team that is on grounds all the time. Even over night if need be. Certainly such a team could be better directed to a quick response with the type of system you have described.

I am also in favor of other electronic security measures to further back up and assist these armed men in such a way to make them as efficient and effective as possible.

I do not agree with those that say fortifying schools in such a manner creates a police state. It may well create a police school, but I’m ok with that. I want these children to be incredibly well defended.

I am not for gun control at all, except those laws which do attempt to keep weapons out of the hands of known criminals, but we also know that such laws are mostly ineffective, because criminals do not obey laws by definition.

I am for using the gun, the tool and means of freedom, to protect our freedom.

Analysis time.

“Most teachers will not be able to handle a gun.”
While my opinion of many teachers is very low, I am unaware that a significant percentage of educators is so retarded they can’t master the basics of close range defense handgun training. May I ask for the data on which you based your statement?

“They are just not bred to it.”
Given the speed of human genetic change, and the recent invention of firearms, it is safe to assume No One is “bred” to firearms use. However, I have found women and even girls as young as eleven years take to guns like ducks to water. This also holds for Libtard spawn, if their parents are not present when said spawn is introduced to guns.

“When crisis confronts, they will choke”.
Perhaps, but may I suggest reading Rudyard Kipling’s poem “The Female Of The Species Is More Deadly Than The Male”.
