In response to Gannett's Jounal News headquartered in White Plains, New York publishing an interactive map containing the names and addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland Counties (previous related posts are here and here), blogger Robert Cox at NewRochelleTalk.com (HT Instapundit) has produced an interactive map at a post entitled "Where are the Journal News employees in your neighborhood?"

It contains names, addresses, and various forms of Internet presence. Some of his narrative follows the jump:

TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: guncontrol; secondamendment

There are bound to be a number of FReepers that don’t agree with this kind of tactic, but the lefties need to have a taste of their own medicine and need to have at least an inkling of fear of “in-kind” retaliation from the right.

I say bravo to the blogger.

The press’s response will be for tighter control over
internet content.

They HAD a monopoly over the airwaves, and the internet took them off guard, they will force everyone to not make the same mistake twice...

I was just thinking the exact same thing. I can already hear it: “We shouldn't lower ourselves to their level...blah...blah...blah.”

It's time these statist maggots understand we don't operate the same way our gutless, feckless GOP “Leadership” does. We will fight them with their own tactics, and at the same time, show their utter and glaring hypocrisy!

It can be quite serious.

A few years back someone on a (very bad) forum posted the address data of the judge that convicted Matt Hale, the leader of the Creativity movement. There was a general call to assassinate this judge, when her home was hit she wasn’t there but her parents were killed.

We live in “serious times” and it is time that the Left knew that we take their attempts to get us robbed or killed, very seriously.

It’s payback time. We’ve been on the receiving end for too long, pulling our punches, taking union thug hits, riots by the Marxo-Anarchist Black Bloc, flash-mobs, and other street thugs who prey upon the innocent.

It is time to strike back, legally. We have more brains than these leftist assholes so let’s put them to work. Also, we need some gutsy lawyers to help us file lawsuits, get TRO’s, injunctions, etc.

Let’s tie the Left up in so many legal knots that they’ll think their whole world is a ball of string.

How about a boycott of the advertises in the New York Journal that published the names of gun owners? It has got to hurt the advertisers and thusly, the newspaper.

It would be a start.

Legally owning a gun/weapon would also be something substantial because you can no longer trust the US government to protect you, and in some places, you can’t trust your local police because they are on the other side (at least their leaders are, and the leaders are the ones who give the orders).

The comments are hysterical — NO one gets the Swiftian irony of “Costalelite’s” post...

Not this Freeper. In fact, we should take it to the next level. Show the addresses of all members of Congress, judges - Federal and otherwise - news reporters, and on and on.

“Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location is a responsible reporter or editor, just that they are a reporter or editor.”

‘responsible reporter” - Now there’s an oxymoron.

The biggest threat the left uses is, “We know where you live.”

Turning the tables is very fair.

I was going to comment that, since these reporters are generally anti-gun, any criminal that wanted to rob their houses wouldn’t have to fear being shot...

Then I remembered the hypocrisy and elitism of the left.
A good number of them might have guns while at the same time crying for gun confiscation.

Yeah well, I’ve said it before - we’re making our databases available, *to conservatives*, for profit. Just doing the job ADL was supposed to do but refuse to.

Strange thing: ADL did a backgrounder on Matt Hale, and then dropped mentioning the murders at all. To believe the piece, Hale has never been convicted of anything. Weird people. The recipe seems to be, don’t touch the left, or the muslims, or the hispanics, or anyone who might be violent. They had a high ol time going after Wesley Snipes, though.

Good. Now that the gun owners have been made public, we know exactly who has been providing UNCOMPENSATED security for all the non-gun owning people. Impose a $100 per month on all non-gun owning residences so that they pay their “fair share” and do it “for the children”. Let the gun grabbers scream.
