Anne Arundel County police are investigating a report that an employee in a coin shop in Glen Burnie shot and killed an intruder Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a 6:28 a.m. call Christmas morning at Arundel County Coin Shop in the 7400 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and were met by an employee of the business, police said.

He told police that an intruder broke into the business while he was there, and during an altercation inside, the intruder was shot, police said. The intruder ran out of the building and collapsed, police said. Paramedics were called, and the man was pronounced dead, according to police.

As a Maryland resident, I wish to thank the store owner that saved Marylanders the cost of a trial and incarceration for this thief.

Although O’Malley would probably have pardoned the thief.

One criminal that won’t be coming back to terrorize other people. Now only if the government would stop robbing store owners, we could really help our entrepreneurs out a bit.

I just simply love stories with happy endings. This is a story about perfect gun control in action. The store owner hit exactly what he was aiming at. It just doesn’t get any better than that. This is why our founding fathers gave us the second amendment. Thomas Jefferson said that people who trade security for freedom end up with neither.

So all of you that are opposed to gun ownership, please post a sign on your premise to that effect so that the criminals will know where to go in complete safety.
