the way the democrats figure it is that maybe tax increases will shave a percent or two off of growth. but so what? there’s enough growth in store to keep the economy just above stall speed. And if the economy does stall—well its the republicans fault.

This is what the election was all about. the republicans were going to close the deficit by cutting spending and raising growth. the democrats were going to close the deficit by raising taxes and cutting spending with the fiscal cliff. We got the dems plan.

So will have minimal growth but a government without a big deficit.

No we will have minimal to no growth WITH a big deficit. The dems have no intention of reducing spending and tax increases will not cover the spending.
