Piers Morgan: ‘It's Time For an Amendment to the Bible’ By Elizabeth Harrington December 27, 2012
(CNSNews.com) – After his gun-control views landed him on a petition to be deported from the United States, CNN host Piers Morgan is now contending “it’s time for an amendment to the Bible” because, like the Constitution, it is “inherently flawed.”
In an interview that was broadcast on Christmas Eve, Morgan told evangelical Pastor Rick Warren that due to changing cultural views on gay marriage the Bible, too, must be changed.
The British television host explained that a passage that states adultery is punishable by death proves the Bible is “flawed.” (Read the full interview here.)
“The Bible and the Constitution were well-intentioned, but they are basically inherently flawed,” Morgan said. “Hence the need to amend it.”
“My point to you about gay rights, for example, it's time for an amendment to the Bible,” he said.
Warren said, "No," there is “not a chance” of that happening.
“What I believe is flawed is human opinion because it constantly changes,” said Warren. “In fact, we do it every eight years in America. We have a -- we have a change in opinion; what was -- what was hot is now not.”
“And I willingly admit that I base my worldview on the Bible, which I believe is true, and truth,” Warren said. “My definition of truth is if it's new, it's not true. If it was true 1,000 years ago, it'll be true 1,000 years from today.”
“Opinion changes, but truth doesn't,” he said.
"We're going to agree to disagree on that," said Morgan.

This Intellectual Infant is welcome to take it up with The Author; one supposes, however, that He will remain somewhat unreceptive.

There’s already an ‘amended Bible’. It’s called the Koran.
Tell it to God and see if He’s interested, you mocking, scoffing, arrogant, atheistic piece of crap.
His rating's are in the toilet and he's trying to be controversial just to keep his name in the news and get a few liberals to watch his show. We play right in to his hand by getting in a froth over every "over the top" thing he says. He's irrelevant, his shows irrelevant and they both should be treated as such.

This is the type of person at a cocktail party who sticks to you like used chewing gum on the sole of your shoe.
Then he proceeds to cause everyone’s eyes to glaze over as they attempt to move out of hearing range. He even has the cheek to think he’s clever!
In the worst case, he causes untold misery for the hosts when the party is utterly destroyed, people leave in droves and this BORE continues to STAY.
Time for Piers to slink back to the land of former Hope and Glory.
How did he get to be ‘the’ expert on both the constitution and the Bible and so completely ignorant of eveything else?
The Bible already has an “amendment.” It’s called the New Testament.
