Most alarming, we are fast moving to a place where, for the first time in history, failed little states like North Korea and Iran, that cannot even feed their own people, will have power in their hands to blackmail or destroy the largest and most successful societies on Earth. North Korea and Iran perceive themselves to be at war with the United States, and are desperate, highly unpredictable characters.

Let’s look at the “One Second After” scenario.
An EMP weapon launched from a shipping vessel that immediately sinks so there is no evidence who did it.
Worst case, all communications are gone. Yes, we do have boomers everywhere but would the order come to attack? And who would we attack? The Norks? The Iranians? The Chinese? The Russians? All capable and all hate us. Would someone make a decision to strike all of them with the chance that most are innocent? I think not!
It is a very real possibility that it could be done and they could get away with it.
