President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden.
According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he'll now make $231,900 per year.
Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase.

Give pay increases to the only segment of the work force that has increased under his rule. While they should be happy that they have a job, the rest of us who have had to take pay cuts or have lost our jobs now have to reward them! I think that the President on down through Congress should have to take a fifty percent cut in pay and benefits until this country is back on track. If they were employed by a private business they would have all been fired for incompetence.

It all depends on how you look at it. It is really nothing more than a shell game. They are paid with tax dollars from the actual workers of the country. The “payment” of taxes by government workers is a silly little accounting trick where they government pays them a tad less since it was all tax money to begin with.
They pay taxes from their share of the tax money they collect as salaries.
