Strangely missing from NBC's look back on the 2012 campaign were gaffes and controversial statements from the Obama-Biden campaign. Friday's Today featured a mini-blooper reel of GOP mishaps on the campaign trail, but made no mention of Democratic controversies.
In its lengthy string of highlights from the 2012campaign, Today included Mitt Romney's infamous "47 percent" remarks along with Rep. Todd Akin's "legitimate rape" meltdown. Today said nothing, though, of Biden's controversial "chains" comments or Obama's "you didn't build that" remark.
The mini-blooper reel began with a clipofNBC's Lester Holt hyping "High-profile distractions for the Republican Party." Today co-anchor Matt Lauer was shown lecturing Rep. Akin, "That's just not true," before NBC highlighted Romney's "47 percent" remarks. "Romney defending comments secretly recorded at a private fund raiser," reported co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.
What else could NBC have included?

I got to wonder why they keep reporting on the election and Romney. Are they still trying to legitimize the stolen election? From what I can tell 95% of the country bought it hook, line and sinker. So, they are wasting their air time. They can discuss the fiscal cliff nonsense, and then after that, the next phony crisis which is designed to make obama look fantastic to the masses.
I call the fiscal cliff fake, because if it was real, they would have dealt with this at least 4 years ago, when obama first entered office instead of healthcare, and they certainly should have not added 6 trillion more to the debt. None of this should be a surprise.
