The 'act' won by a mere 38,000 votes, and the 'act' found most of its support in the 'elite' counties in southern Maine and along the coast.
It was voted down at least two times and I think the folks of Maine just gave up.
The issue continued to show up on the ballot until the libs got what they wanted.
Plus Maine has been heavily infested with liberals from all over the country. They have been moving into that state for 30 years and have ruined it. You’ve never seen such a group of sanctimonious, patronizing clowns in your life and you run into them everywhere in the state.
The natives of Maine are good people though.
LEt me preface by saying I am a male happily married to the same woman for 32 years. I have little hair. Just the standard male pattern baldness horse shoe. Most of the time I get my hair done by a woman as the nearest barbershop is run by women. If I get this right, they probably(if they are not lesbos) have had their hands in the same places that you gay barber had his.

As a states rights type of conservative, this makes it so difficult to stay that way. We are supposed to take the good with the bad when states do their own thing but this is beyond what the founders saw I bet.

Conservatives should call for a new vote on the grounds in passed by such a narrow vote. Hold the vote in an off year.
