If armed policemen are assigned to some or all schools they should be undercover and carrying concealed. Otherwise it’s shoot the officer first.

And the reason why you let the Citizenry arm themselves (otherwise, again, some animals....). At least there’d be no way to know whom or how many; w/out costing a penny.
