Putting aside that the product of any such Convention would have to be ratified by a majority of the states of which 30 have Republican governors, how is what you fret about different than what we already have or will have in 4 more years with present trends?

It is too late - we are already there. Once ObamaCare passed SCOTUS as constitutional and Romney lost, the Republic died. Looking forward, once the U.S. Dollar crashes and Marshall Law is declared, anyone that attended a Tea Party rally will be rounded up and taken to a re-education camp , the Constitution will be taken out of it's case and burned.
