Vulture.com ^ | 12/28/12 | Eliot Glazer

Last week, we pointed you to a PSA from Mayor Bloomberg's gun-control group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, in which the rich, famous, and pretty decried the need for stricter gun control (or something not quite specified). Some, like YouTube user Mike Hunt (ahem!), blame those very same people for perpetuating a culture of violence in the first place. In his own biting video response, he peppers in hyper-violent, trigger-happy footage against video of each celebrity wearing black and speaking in a hushed tone, respectively.

And McCarthy has been proven correct over and over again. They will portray Hitler in movies as a monster while treading in his footsteps.

Actually they’ll falsely portray Hitler as a right wing monster while happily promoting everything he actually stood for.

Spot on.

Movies & video games make violence “cool” and “edgy” and substitute for plot.

Celebs are happy to rake in the money, but not the responsibility.

These celebs are glorifying the improper and illegal use of guns to make money. They may as well be glorifying child pornography or illegal drug use (wait, they do some of that as well).

It’s strange how corrupt politicians have to use useful idiot celebrities to speak to the great unwashed masses for them. Intelligent people don’t believe anything a shyster politician tells them. However, if the politicians gets a liberal celebrity to say something for them, that’s a different story. The people in this country just eat it up. It’s just dumb.

Yes...I noted dwarf actor Peter Dinklage (4’5”) in there. Maybe if someone tried to shoot his char in a movie they might miss—bullet goes over his head (kidding...)

On the original mayor’s plan video the thumbs UP are 574
and thumbs DOWN, 928.

“Celebs are happy to rake in the money, but not the responsibility.”

I watched an old episode of Top Gear last night. Mark Wahlberg was the guest and told about doing prison time and about stealing the first few cars he had.

I wanted to ask him, “Now that you are rich, have you bought and delivered nice, new, better cars to your victims?”

Paying your “debt to society” is great; restitution is even better.

I gave up television and movies so long ago that I only recognized two of the actors. Elen Degenerous (?) and Chris Rock.

They demand no more shootings at schools, movie theatres, etc.—but would there be any at movie studios or set locations? No...

...because the workplaces for these actors are protected by...

...ARMED GUARDS. And the celebrities are protected by
armed bodyguards. I’m sure those guns won’t be taken away!

There is no evidence of Quentin Tarantino even endorsing gun control. In fact here is an article here: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/tarantino-gun-violence-actually-issue-mental-health

I also notice how quick they are to point to US, the audience, to stop these mass shootings.

What you’d expect from a four-year-old - point the blame elsewhere while exclaiming “it wasn’t me”.
