I read them & liked them knowing full well they are not in any way great lierature. I AM completely baffled as to how you equate them w/ pedophilia. Did you just completely make that up from thin air?
In fact the whole “plot” is about how children are messed up by uncaring/ sick people & the main chracter is determined to never let that happen to another child. It in NO way glorifies pedophilia.
Like the book or hate it, I repsect that, but don’t just falsely say it promotes soemthing it most definitely does not.

For your reading pleasure.
Yes, I totally agree with you.
I read the trilogy and enjoyed the books. My take was much like yours and I must add, that with love and understanding even the most messed up can find happiness. In the last book of the trilogy, Anna and Christian found true happiness and were building a beautiful family together. The last scene brought tears to my eyes as a badly scared yet highly driven young man found that with love and understanding, he could overcome his past and be a terrific father and husband.
There was no pedophilia involved. The ignoramuses in the MSM who have called it “Mommy Porn” are way off base. In my opinion, it is quite simply, a love story.
HOWEVER, I find it absurd for a College to offer a class on this. Parents should be outraged.
