DiFi’s new “assault weapons” ban bill will classify all AR-15’s/AK-47’s, etc. as Class III weapons (fully automatic) and requiring registration and a $200 tax. Also allows the ATF to inspect your home anytime they want for anything they want. You give up 4th amendment rights.
If you don’t register yours, ATF will be going to all “assault weapons” manufacturers, getting serial numbers, contacting dealers who legally sold such weapons, getting names/addresses of all legal purchaser’s (as they now do when investigating a weapon used in a crime), and paying them a visit to see if they still have them.
I.E. - you are screwed.
So even if you don’t comply with registering - you are dead.
We have to fight this bill like it’s our last stand. Because it very well may be.
Oh - and if this law passes, all manufacturers that specialize in AR-15 format weapons will be immediately put out of business.

Pessimism and defeatism are not options, while DiFi's proposal is a bill or even if it becomes law.
Her bill will go nowhere.
Saying that, a Bushmaster (or more big magazines for my Mini 14) are on my shopping list.
