Not Ashamed of America’s Gun Culture
Clash Daily ^ | December 31, 2013 | R.G. Yoho

The other day in our local newspaper, there were three political columns on the editorial page, all three of them one-sidedly calling for gun control and moaning about America’s “Gun Culture.”

As a law-abiding gun owner, I must say that I am a part of America’s gun culture. I am proud of it. In addition, I often thank God for it.

The way America has been on a gun buying binge the last 4 years, I’d say all the noise is coming from the chattering class.

My father tought me to shoot when I was 7. I have owned firearms since I was 18. I am part of America’s “Gun Culture,” and anyone who is against it is against me.

The term “Gun Culture” is nothing but Liberal blabbering.

I have shooting since I was eight years old, over 50 years now. Had my own .22 Rifle and single shot .410 Shotgun back then. I was also a pretty good shot with my older Brother’s Ruger .22 Revolver as I recall.

Guns have always been a part of “American Culture”, while Tyranny has always been part of “Liberal Culture”.

When there is a clash of Cultures, the guy with the Gun will come out on top. Our Founding Fathers understood that salient fact.

The difference between us and them is simple, we believe our Rights come from the Almighty, they think we need permission to breathe from the Democrat Party Platform Committee and some Kenyan fellow whose name eludes me at the moment.

Not everybody thinks it's necessary to apologize for America's gun culture.

We came from a culture of feudal, feed-forced-statist-religionist, war-ridden, elitist, agrarian, booze-sodden tyrants to a bow-and-arrow, murdering, scalping, torturing, burn-'em-at-the-stake, hand-to-mouth, ignorant, God-rejecting culture and made it a peaceful, lawful, freedom-loving, God-honoring, wealthy, technological, and intellectual culture.

We did it with a gun the one hand and a Bible in the other. It took both, neither alone would do it.

Should we, as inheritors of these benefits, apologize?

Now, God- and freedom-hating devil-loving adversaries are gathering themselves for a final push to eradicate these two fundamental factors away so they may enslave us again.

Will we say, "NO!"?

Guns have always been a part of “American Culture”, while Tyranny has always been part of “Liberal Culture”.

Even Machiavelli argued that the wise Prince will give his men firearms, to sustain his power and give them an important earnest of his trust, something a successful prince will do in recognition that trust and fidelity are a two-way street.

The gun-grabbers in the States (and Europe, and Japan -- but cultural factors intervene) are therefore far to the dirigiste side of the Italian Borgias and their Boswell, Nicolo Machiavelli. That puts them exclusively in the company of the worst of the worst among despots and murderous tyrants. They simply haven't had a chance to manifest their hatefulnesss yet, in its full fury, toward other Americans who do not bow the neck to their totalitarian ideology.

The difference between us and them is simple, we believe our Rights come from the Almighty,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That’s right, the ancient idea that the Mandate of Heaven can only descend upon a King with some kind of special quality is NOT what America is about.

The people, led by our founders, claimed the mandate of heaven
and our rights flow from the ALmighty.Thery do not flow to The Won. The 2nd amendment allows us to insure that the mandate of heaven is in the hands of the people.

Anyone who says differently always runs for shelter in the idea that the mandate of heaven rests with a single special human being, like a King. This is what is happening now, the Zombie Left in America has found a fascist dictator whom they wish to elevate to claim the divine right of a King, and there is nothing benevolent about that so called King.

We the people will not permit it.Eventually we will have to
fight to maintain the View, path and activity set forth by our founding fathers , and codified in the Constitution. The Mandate of Heaven rests with The People, not Barrack Hussein Obama, and the precincts of Allah, who also believe only in the divine right of Kings.

Obamas work and goal is to destroy the connection of the People with their Divine Right of Self Governance and the force necessary to ensure it. We may have to actually use force majeur in order to save the Republic.

“Gun Culture” is a dog whistle. It's the way liberal elites express their hatred of traditional Americans without having to actually say they hate us.

We need to negotiate with the liberals - show them why breaking the country up into red and blue works for both sides.

They can open their borders and become the ever elusive 'brown' country they've expressed such glee about becoming... And we can become the 'traditional' America - the home we grew up in.

Liberals can have any kind of 'marriage' they want - they can even dump the Constitution and put themselves in charge - OF THEIR OWN BLUE Country. Liberals can disarm all their citizens and write every law they can think of to ban guns. Whatever they want. And they can loot each other... A liberal dream come true... everything they've always wanted. It's a zero sum game for them, right?

Liberals can even subsidize liberal newspapers, give away free everything ... And we won't be here to object. We won't stand in their way. They get their way - 100%.

Well, their way in the 'Blue Country'....

We can have our way in the 'Red Country' - and they won't be telling us what to eat, what kind of lightbulbs to own, what groups are 'in' and what groups can 'marry'. We'll both be free of each other. Think a divorce where both parties are thrilled.

It's time to think about it... let's talk. Talk about splitting ways. Give them the States they hold - then get the hell out of this place.

The reason that this country remained what it ONCE WAS can be attibuted directly to guns. Our founding fathers knew what dictators can/will do if the “sheep” are under control so, when constructing the greatest document the world have seen since the bible, the second ammendment shielded the removal of guns. Those who would have the world believe ours would be a better country WITHOUT guns need to look at those countries that no longer have the privelage of gun ownership. Ah yes, then there is CHICAGO where gun control has worked so well.

I’m 110% for secession at this point. People who think we can still change this mess around at the ballot box while trying to defeat the huge drone states of California, New York, etc. are dillusional.

"My father tought me to shoot when I was 7. I have owned firearms since I was 18. I am part of America’s “Gun Culture,” and anyone who is against it is against me."

Got off the a late start, did you?? ...... :^)

My dad first took me shooting at age 4. Of course, I couldn't hold the pistol, so he had to "help". This lesson wasn't about "shooting" but about gun safety (i.e. real guns are not cap pistols...which at that time I had several of). Kids only have to be shown once, if the lesson is real.

Got my first "BB" gun at six, first "real" gun at around 8 (single shot 0.410 shotgun). Of course, I was also shooting "his" guns some of the time. Go my semi-auto .22 rifle at (I think it was) 14. Semi-auto .22 pistol as a college graduation present.

Little brother got the same treatment, except his first "real" gun was a single-shot 0.22. Otherwise the progression was pretty much the same.

I grew up in an abusive home, and when I got my first .22 rifle that I bought from a friend, my parents thought I was going to slaughter them in their beds. They were mormons and I had decided I wasn’t one, which clearly meant I was demon-possessed.

I enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting for a lot of years, lived in WY for a while which is a hunter’s paradise. Then I was working one night and someone tried to steal our bank bag, I was a kung fu enthusiast, and I put him in the hospital. A judge who was no judge, said I was guilty of felony A & B, and that was that for my gun rights.

Now I live on a boat, no guns, but I encounter deer and wild pigs on the rivers, have thought of taking up the bow. For self defense I use my hands and sneakiness, plus I’m unusually quick for an older big guy.

We need to appeal to liberal greed and hunger. No reason to fight over anything - we know their short term thinking. We know their values or lack of same... It might be easier than we think.
