Merry Christmas from rich liberal Warren Buffett.
I’m sure its no great loss in and of itself.
A new local paper needs to start up! Its all about Local News.
The online website and facebook for the paper was purchased by a group who has started an online paper that will also print once a week, run by at least one of the former editors of the paper.

I haven’t signed up with the new group; I’m looking forward to taking a little break from writing, and they haven’t asked me.

it has sucked for years. They pretty much just reprinted wire stories and press releases, plus a very few inscrutable local stories.

Michael Savage was just talking about this. He said Buffet bought it, fired 72 employees then shut it down because the paper was critical of him.
That's what the AJC in Atlanta has been doing for the past 15 years. If you want to know what's in today's AJC, just find a four-day-old copy of USA Today.
