LOL! Same to you p6. How was your celebration? We both watched the ball drop. Stayed up to watch Sarah Brightman sing “Silent Night”. It was a beautiful way to end the evening.
Ugh! Quinn & Rose still not back! I’m assuming next Monday then.

I’m so bummed. A “best of” again. Sigh. Rush not on til tomorrow. Fingers crossed Glenn Beck will be back (and please, please let Pat and Stu be wond up!)
Toomey, by the way, allegedly DID NOT get the Bill (to read) before he VOTED for the damn thing. Haven’t seen the House Roll Call to see what Tim Murphy did. My guess, he fell in line behind Boehner. But fingers crossed that I’m wrong. Paul Ryan voted for it. I’m done w/him too.
NH House is back in session. I’ll get to listen at least once a week for the next few months.
We had a nice quiet time. After our porkk and kraut I went to bed fairly early. Mrs p6 went to our daughter’s house but only lasted until 10. Only one of the grand kids made it. Oldest son’s son stayed up but with couple of minutes to go said he wanted to go to bed. They made him get to midnight but he was in bed asleep a minute after, lol.
So the house caves... no surprise. Murphy voted yes....sigh. so did Toomey in the senate.
I wondered if Q&R would be off. I’m afraid a bunch of older right wing talkers are going to retire. There are a few younger ones starting like Andy Deen but so far they don’t appeal to me.
Murph voted for it. Interestingly IIRC Paul abstained.
Pretty much no talk radio for me the rest of this week. At least Meadows harness racing is supposed to resume at noon today. I don’t bet but I like watching the ponies run.
I’ve thought about the older guys retiring too. I like Chris Plante at WMAL. He was fired but the listeners protested so much they brought him back a couple of years ago.
Rush is only in his early 60’s I hope he is around a long long time,. Hannity is still young. But Quinn is up there in years. He’s always been a strong voice. I love Rose, but admit that I prefer Quinn. She’s not afraid to speak out either though, and I hope she keeps the ball rolling. Michael Berry - out of Houston on KTRH - is NOT AFRAID AT ALL! If yunz all haven’t listened to him, please do so. He’s more local, but picking up steam. I don’t know that a place like western Pa would accept him, though he did fill in for Mark Levin a couple of times and is excellent! He’s all common sense and all Texan! lol!
Speaking of Levin; He’s relatively young too. I hope he’s around for many years.
I don’t even want to see who voted for it. I have lost faith in all of them.....

Incidentally, if yunz all haven’t seen this, I highly recommend it.

Didn’t I say that mrss p6 got a great manager’s special on a lamb roast at Giant Eagle? $2.99/lb. Vac packed from Australia.
The next day the neighbor was going to GE and asked her if she needed anything. She asked him to pick up another. Turns out the manager is a good friend of our neighbor and he got the same lamb for us at $1.99/lb.
The manager claims that they just aren’t selling much lamb at our store and when they have to take some it gets marked down for quick sale.
I noticed something similarat Shop n Save and molasses. They carry only a very few jars and it’s usually marked down.
Strange.

I can’t say I’m disappointed in Murphy...I’m angrier at my self for....believing anything would ever “change” (ha! Is that ironic). And that I was so damn gullible that I changed my registration to “R” and that I believed the BS that these guys spew (smaller government). Will vote for whoever primaries AGAINST Murphy and Toomey. Hoping there actually is a “Tea Party” I can register into, or just go independent.
My ONLY solace is that some (a random few) Obot Koolaid drinkers will someday “see” Obama the way I see Ryan right now. Those true believers are waaaay more emotionally invested than we are.
Michelle Bachmann voted against the Bill and Ron Paul abstained. Both of those I understand.

Pgh Dad was just at Westmoreland Mall. He has to turn in his “man card” I have been told. His appearance was at the Bon Ton court n’@, by fine fragrances.
Was going to get Mr PaMom a PghDad tee shirt for Christmas, but a bunch of jag offs bought em all (sold out at WM). I guess they might be in stock for Valentines day:)
