“To be confirmed as Speaker he was to be elected by a majority of the incoming HOUSE, not just a majority of Republicans, and assuming that all the democrats vote against him, as is tradition, he could only afford to lose 16 Republicans. If he can’t get a majority, it’s kicked back to the Republican Caucus to choose another candidate for Speaker. “

WOW!!!!!!!

NOW IT ALL BECOMES CLEAR!!!!

Boner throws America under the bus for this budget bill, Obamacare’s funding and probably a gun control bill, and Obama gives his zombies their marching orders and enough of them line up behind him to get him appointed Speaker again -EVEN THOUGH MOST REPUBLICANS MAY NOT SUPPORT HIM!!!

A DUPLICATE OF THIS VOTE!!!!

Boehner is a real Boner!!!

Searched for the roll call earlier this morning, and found my RINO Congressman’s name in the “Aye” column. Just got off the phone with his Washington office. I was polite, but told them I was done with the Republicans rolling over for the Rats all the time, and that I won’t be casting any ballots for any GOP candidate, or in any election ever again. I’m tired of getting kicked in the teeth by these people. I also requested they remove my name/address from their mailing list.

As far as I can tell all of our GA GOP reps voted no. Our Rep Woodall voted no.

Peter King voted Yes and then expected Boehner to bring up the Sandy vote. It didn’t happen. They shafted King after promising a vote on the funds for Hurricane Sandy.

King is fit to be tied. At least the Northeast Republican Congressmen will have a good reason to vote for someone other than Boehner for Speakership.

Take the speakership away from this loser and Boehner can go back to playing golf with Obama.

But after Boehner shafted the NorthEast Republicans on a Sandy vote, I don't think he can win the Speakership even with Dems voting for this loser.

Brady (TX)Aye

Not a doubt in my mind this liberal republican representing NW suburbs of Houston would vote FOR this bill.

He also voted for Tarp/bailouts and so forth.

Just can't figger out for the life of me why folks keep voting this guy back into office.

Once an incumbet is elected, its VERY difficult to pry them from office unless they do something VERY stupid.

Somebody has a problem in their district with IRS, or Social Security, or Veterans’ Benefits, etc., they contact the Congressman/Senator. Senator’s staff sends letter to mindless bureaucrats. Mindless Bureaucrats read letter, get concerned about funding. Mindless bureaucrats do what they SHOULD have done WIHTOUT the letter. Constituent is happy and gets benefit or tax or other problem resolved.
They tell their friends Senator/ Congressman so and so is great and their friends tell THEIR friends. Company needs help with a contract difficulty. THEY contact the Congressman. Problem resolved. Company contributes to political campaign. Pressure group needs legislation addressing whatever. Congressman gets on badwagon to pass it or intorduces it himself.

AND THAT, in a sordid nutshell is why these bastards get re-elected AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. Unless they do something REALLY stupid - even for somebody with a brain as challenged mentally as theirs.

That is ALSO why we NEED term limits!!!!!

“...I was listening to some Congressman on Fox this morning saying Boehner’s speakership may be in serious danger....”

actually, Boehner's turn coat action may be to secure votes from the demo’s.
Any in-coming Speaker may not be so “controllable”

The “elite” actually watch out for each other else they fall.

They really know who to target, don’t they? They got Col. Allen West too.

It won’t help to change registration in most states; it will keep you out of the 2014 primaries in many, but not all, situations.

You know, considering how uninformed so many of the Republican primary voters are, along with their Democrat crossover cousins, it is possible that the members voting “No” will be the ones punished in 2014, and those voting “Yes” will be retained once more in office. The fault lies with the uninformed low information voters.

Easy answer: Name ID, low-information voters, basic support for the liberal agenda. Mostly just go-along to get-along.
