The New York newspaper that sparked controversy after publishing the names and addresses of nearby gun permit owners is now taking up arms in an apparent response to threats.

The Journal News has reportedly hired a team of armed guards to patrol the paper's headquarters in West Nyack.

The paper caused a stir on December 23 when it listed thousands of pistol permit holders in suburban Westchester and Rockland counties just north of New York City in an interactive map on its website.

The Rockland County Times reported on Tuesday that Journal News editor Caryn A. McBride hired gun-toting security guards to patrol the paper's offices amid a flurry of angry emails and phone calls in the following days.

The paper hired the increased security from RGA Investigations & Security, a firm based in New City that provides services like protection and security guard certification, according to the Times.

Guns for me, but not for thee

Yep. The most outspoken people on the arms issue have armed guards or weapons of their own, as though somehow defending their own lives is so, so much more important than us defending ours.
These people are repulsive.

Armed with what? Billy clubs? Surely not armed with guns as those are bad. Surely the newspaper is a gun free zone.

That newspaper wants to get rid of guns ‘cause guns kill people. Having armed guards around them means people are going to die and they are people. They should be afraid of those killing guns.

They don’t see the hypocrisy. Like Rosie O’Donnell ranting against guns and having armed body guards for her kids to go to school.

When the chips are down and people consider their own safety or that of their family, that’s when we see what they really believe.

Whooooa! Rockland County?? That’s where Hillary got 100% of the vote for Senator. So, it looks like Liberals have guns too? Is Rockland County that dangerous of a place?

This is exactly why I believe we need only 1 new Gun Control Law::

Any person granted a privilege to “keep and bear arms without being infringed” shall be guilty of a Felony punishable by a term of not less than LIFE IN PRISON for using or attempting to use said privilege for Personal Gain or Profit.

Game over

Hillary did not get 100 % of the vote in Rockland. It does have a couple of Republican towns and a couple of swing towns. The county did vote for Bush in 2000 and 2004. There is one Orthodox Jewish town, New Square where she did get close to 100% of the vote in 2000 Rockland after Bill pardoned one of their Rabbis.

Excellent! Hopefully, these chickensh!ts will be so frightened that they will be bled dry by the costs of having armed security for each person in their employ.

Great visuals,Perseverando
Now we have a public relations publication that has armed thugs working for them. Are the the newspaper goons going to threaten the abused women who had protective orders against men and legally bought a gun to protect themselves?
In the United States, the only way to redress a wrong is by money. Anyone who has been injured by this public relations terrorism of the paper should sue for damages and to restrain these violent leftist radicals.
