I am doing what I can to roll that back as I teach US and Texas government at the college level.
Students are mostly brain-dead and believe EVERYTHING someone on the TV tells them, and they believe EVERYTHING their HS teacher told them.
You should see the wonder in their eyes when I describe a history many of them didn’t know existed. . .and wonders of it all, mostly White males at that!
Nothing new but still distressing. In the 60’s when I was in elementary school, mcCarthy was an evil man and Roosevelt was wonderful.
