Hey Mr. King, why should we not halt donations to YOU as well?

Have you ever considered asking how many items on the Sandy relief bill are UNRELATED to Sandy relief?

Done and emials sent to my Congressman and Senator about why they lost a registered Republican. At least my Congressman voted against the mess, but the Senator went with the Dims on the “deal”. Going to change registration to “Independent” and be done with the “Party of Cave”.

Yes he did, as did a lot of New York Republicans.

There is a ton of pork in that bill that won’t do a damn thing for the hurricane victims, who need and deserve help-it is an utter disgrace to use them to get pork. Get rid of anything that doesn’t directly benefit those people, then pass the bill.

King was on Fox a couple hours back claiming that the Pork had been pulled out of the Bill. And that Republicans had lied that it was still in there. I’d like to know the truth, one way or another.

I for one am thrilled they spiked it. Way, way too much pork (read, MY tax dollars!) in there that has absolutely nothing to do with Sandy aid.

I have nothing against giving a helping hand to those that truly need it. But all the other junk? Forget it. If it’s that important, put it in a separate bill and let it pass or fail on its own merits.

I think tea party and like minded individuals gave the GOP one last chance in 2012. I think it is time to move on. If the GOP wants to come along fine but otherwise they can go pound sand.

King, after you voted to raise my taxes yesterday, I can't afford to donate to anybody. Thanks. Moron.

Any aid package should be limited to rebuilding federal roads and buildings. (and other possibly defense related infrastructure, ports and such) I see nothing in the Constitution that authorizes them to take my money and spend it on private individuals.

2014 will be the last chance for the Pubbies, IMO.

On second thought, the upcoming debt ceiling is the last chance. If the Pubbies don't draw the line in the sand, it will never happen.

Does Boehner realize he's Speaker because of the Tea Party?

Is it clear to everybody by now that we are being governed by racketeers. Does The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act apply to government officials?
Every bill that comes up is skimmed for special interests.

I honestly see no logic in subsidizing people living in areas which are especially vulnerable to bad weather. On top of that, those areas (costal) are generally pretty affluent.

It’s bad enough we have effectively subsidized flood insurance, but aid on top of that is rubbish.

Tell that to the folks I know in one of the 10 poorest counties in Virginia that lost everything in the storm........

Oh and don't worry - you're not subsidizing any of them - our county was denied individual federal assistance.

There was plenty of pork in the fiscal cliff bill — global warming, bio fuel research, Warren Buffet's railroads, etc. That didn't stop the Republicans from caving on it. Not any spending cuts, but trillions of new spending dollars.

The Sandy bill was peanuts compared to what they just passed. Besides Boehner could have taken the Sandy bill up sooner and amended it and let the Senate decide whether they wanted to go along with the amendments.

Hey, Peter King .....

Everyone under the friggen Sun is donating for Hurricane Sandy relief -- on top of the money they're already getting. Now you want to FORCE taxpayers to 'give' more and not only for 'Sandy' but for BS Pork in other states!

Un... effen.. believable!

I live in NY and I am disgusted with it. Every time there is a disaster some mysterious illness or irreparable seems to pop up and harm our citizens all go running for the doctor andthe lawyer and the congressman and cry crocodile tears in order to make some money. How about we all shut up, pull ourselves together and stop asking for money for once. What a concept! What a bunch of wusses!

I have no brief for Boehner - I have disliked him from Day 1. But the Sandy Bill should have been just for the victims of Sandy - not some place in California. That is just disgusting.

Look, I can drive 4 miles from my house to see the devastation. I’m lucky I missed it - despite 11 days without any power.

These pols are disgraceful and corrupt. Peanuts to you, but to me, a taxpayer in NJ who will have to foot the bill,it’s a lot.
