My New Year’s tradition is stay home, and ring in the new year for each time zone for the Canteeners. And I can see some of the downtown fireworks display from the back deck.
I did good except falling asleep between Alaska and Hawaii. I woke up about 15 minutes after the New Year got to Hawaii.

Personally I don't know how you do so well on so little sleep (and taking care of aging parents)!
