Great work! I only did Holland-Dozier-Holland and Norman Whitfield, but it looks like you’re going to do the big picture.

Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, Eddie Holland, Jr. and Norman Whitfield were a huge part of Motown’s success, but Gordy’s stable of song writer’s almost rivaled the Brill Building writer’s in their heyday. The songs of “Smokey” Robinson, Warren Moore, Marvin Tarplin, Stevie Wonder, Lee Garrett, Lula Mae Hardaway, Syreeta Wright, Marvin Gaye, Mickey Stevenson, Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, Spooner Oldham & Dan Penn, Lionel Richie, Billy Preston, Edwin Starr, Jim Weatherly, James Dean, Paul Riser, William Weatherspoon, Harvey Fuqua, Johnny Bristol, Vernon Bullock, Barrett Strong, Ronald, Rudolph & O’Kelly Isley (not to mention Berry Gordy, Jr. himself) made an impact on modern music that is hard to estimate. Gordy almost single-handedly changed the world, influencing not just the coming British Invasion, but tearing down the stigma of “Race Music” forever.
