There are several biometric or quick button safes out there.

Access is under 2 seconds.

Having said that, laws that restrict access to this extent must be stopped before they start.

Yes, 2 seconds if you are standing ready, right next to the safe. Then, in Canada, your ammunition has to be accessed and loaded into the firearm. The firearm cannot be loaded in the safe and the ammunition must be stored separately.

In this case, it took a full minute for the experienced firearm instructor to access his guns and load them. That is why the court did not prosecute him.

Consider that: A full minute while under firebomb attack. Total insanity. This is what the Democrats want for us.
