You badly overestimate the amateur. His only real accomplishments have been getting elected twice.
He had a supermajority in both houses of congress and still slmost blew it with freaking Obamacare. He had nothing whatsoever to do with Roberts caving in.
and he got reelected because we nominated a guy that none if us wanted to vote for in the primaries, and we seem amazed that no one else seemed to want to vote for him in the general.
No, the man is massively incompetent. Most of the damage he has done was done with our unwitting assistance.

We will discover in time that Roberts is in the closet or has committed some offense that opened him up to blackmail. Writing the opinion to overturn Obamacare (which became the dissenting opinion) and then flipping to write a new opinion to uphold it speaks volumes about Chicago/Alinsky tactics being applied to the schmuck.
