Did EPA chief Lisa Jackson resign in protest over the Keystone pipeline?

The eventual completion of the full-length Keystone XL pipeline seems more and more like an inevitability for the Obama administration, as it continues to clear bureaucratic hurdles and TransCanada proposes new routes to work with and not against the greenie-grain — not to mention the clamorous pressure to finally allow all of the undeniable economic benefits doing so would bring about already.

As environmentally innocuous as the pipeline actually is, the eco-radicals decided a long time ago that they’d remain dead set against the whole idea on principle, and they’ve managed to turn it into one of the most contentious energy-related issues of the moment (nevermind that terrestrial pipelines are the safest and most efficient way of transporting the oil sands, and the oil is going to extracted whether we do it or China does). The official line is that the State Department’s review is still ongoing, but the dawning realization that this thing is probably happening was apparently not met amicably by a certain high-level Obama official, reports the NY Post (h/t RedState):

EPA chief Lisa Jackson suddenly resigned last week because she was convinced that President Obama is planning to green-light the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline, The Post has learned.

“She was going to stay on until November or December,” said a Jackson insider. “But this changed it. She will not be the EPA head when Obama supports it [Keystone] getting built.” …

And Jackson has told insiders that the president will approve the project this time — perhaps as soon as March or April.

Jackson’s spokeswoman, Victoria Rivas-Vazquez, referred back to the original announcement that she wanted to “pursue new challenges, time with her family and new opportunities.”

Let us not forget Jackson’s highly dubious use of an extracurricular e-mail account, and maybe it was just one of several factors, but this looks like a possible sign that the head of the unabashedly zealous independent agency was not at all pleased with the vague direction in which President Obama is planning to take his energy policy in the second term, which could be… at least not bad news? Maybe? Fingers crossed?

Nope! She’s in trouble, and she knows it. Her fake email account is going to blow up!

LOOK BUTTHOLE! Obama will ok the pipeline. He just had to wait until after the election. Lisa Jackson is a black woman. Blacks have nothin’ in common with environmentalists-except they’re liberal. The pipeline is money-that includes jobs for blacks. We need to exploit this fissure more but then what do I know?

I doubt it has anything to do with Keystone. With the exception of Jarrett, Obama doesn’t want or need (to fool ignorant voters) women in his administration. They are all going under the bus. Obama hates women. Even the ones that voted for him.

One would think this is good news..... But I’m sure Obama will replace her with someone even more radical.... If that is possible...

Who cares about Jackson.

When there is a house leader/speaker that will investigate her background it does not matter.

Cryboehnor will not investigate the groundhog’s shadow let alone a criminal.

Once the pipeline is built, they will run natural gas pipes UP the same line. All the fracking is makeing so much extra gas that the price of natural gas inside of America is dropping like a rock. That will enable all the politically connected natural gas stock holders to make a killing. Obama's friends will double down on that play, so the pipeline is as inevitable as Congress not getting around to figuring out what a budget is. Even if it makes jobs for Americans, its still worth the Billions of pocket money.

Greed, something that Bummer can't pass up cause his handlers won't let him.

I certainly hope so!
Not using official communication channels to evade responsibility for official Federal business, and to sidestep the promised "transparency" promised by the "Great Uniter" should be a federal jail time felony.

Add all this to the recent revelations of EPA’s nazi experimentation on the elderly and children with secret dosages of airborne products, chlorine, and a host of other wonderful items and you can see why this rat is fleeing!!!

She’s toting enough whale oil around to end the energy crisis all by herself.

Wonder if NAFTA is forcing Obama to relent on Keystone?

NAFTA requires Canada to sell 2/3 of its oil and natural gas to the USA. Contrary to what some have spouted in the media....Canada cannot sell the petroleum to Communist China because they will violate NAFTA if they do so. Canada has to sell to the US.

If the US continues to make it difficult for Canada to sell its tar sands oil via Keystone....the NAFTA Court will rule in favor of Canada and Keystone.

Obama is a Free Trader anyway (he has signed all Free Trade agreements put forth in recent years)...so he will eventually comply.

Probably the only thing good that ever resulted from the Soverignity-Robbing NAFTA agreement

No. She just resigned to get the retirement benifits and do nothing but collect a big fat check.

No, she resigned because of dubious activities like having fake e-mail accounts to do dirty business with. Not that it matters. I’m sure hussein will find a better paying job in his administration for asuch a like-minded criminal as he.
