´They´re starting to seriously worry´: Concern growing about low turn- out at Obama inauguration
Daily Mail ^ | 1/6/13 | by Staff

Crowds may have flocked to the National Mall to see President Obama make history in 2009, but the team behind the president´s 2013 inauguration bash later this month are bracing themselves for a ton of empty seats. The ceremony that Washington will stage in a few weeks won´t be the historic affair it was in 2009, when nearly 2 million people flocked to the Capitol o watch Obama take the oath of office. This time, District of Columbia officials expect between 600,000 and 800,000 people for Obama´s public swearing-in on the steps of the Capitol on Monday, January 21.

Let’s see if they pick up their garbage this time around.

No, he has to stay in Washington.

Unless they are paid to attend this event.

After 6 Nov, I fail to see the relevance.

Every president beginning with George Washington has been plagued (one at least has been murdered) by office seekers who make their wants known at inaugural balls. Every Democrat wannabe from every precinct in 50 states and some territories will want to make his presence known to other players. That is the whole point of working for a Democrat, to become part of the elite that governs the rest of us.

Obama will have no trouble filling up the ballrooms. Filling the street with 1 million supporters might be a different story but not insurmountable for the irresistible ground game that we saw in November.

My point is, and has been since I was bitch slapped on election night, that we do not know what the hell we are talking about. The most obvious self delusions had to do with assessments of crowd size and their implications. I have been imploring conservatives since election night to get very serious about finding out exactly what happened to us and why by having resort to real data.

We had better find out, as just one example, how to fill a venue and how to run a ground game. We had better be humble about it and we had better not any longer soothe our anxieties with bluster and ignorance.

It is not just a question of cleaning out the Rinos, it is a question of installing competents to execute the mechanics of election campaigns. It is a question of building a party from the grassroots up based on reality rather than hope and conservatives feel good shibboleths.

We cannot even begin to imagine the cronyism and dependency the Democrats have infused into the country. Can we really believe that Democrats cannot pull a few strings, call in some IOUs, promise more of the public trough, show a little ankle, and fill a venue? They are buying elections with our own money and we do not even know how they did it.

No matter, they will have an empty seat at the inauguration ball, all is well.

“My point is, and has been since I was bitch slapped on election night, that we do not know what the hell we are talking about.”

Too true; the biggest problem is underestimating the strength of the Dem propaganda machine, and the lack of one to get our own messages out.

Soon you will start to hear the excuse that since the private inauguration ceremony on Sunday, Jan 20, will be televised for all to see, there aren’t as many interested in the public ceremony on Jan 21 and that’s the reason for the lower turnout.

If we all pray, perhaps there will be a blizzard or a major rain/hail storm right over Washington on that fatal day in U.S. history. Once again this nation is being chipped away, piece by piece as the imposter gets sworn in.

After our experience in November can anyone ever again take these crowd assessments stories seriously
Absolutely agree!!! In fact any kind of news that Obama is weakening is suspect CONSERVATIVE PROPAGANDA as far as I'm concerned. I fell for it during the campaign only to have all hope dashed as the takers around me danced on the shattered "facts." We are a socialist country now and have been since the passage of Obamacare. Don't feed me any more "hope" ...I ain't buyin' it twice.

If Obama can gin up millions of votes to fill voting booths, I think he can probably find a few more Democrats to fill inauguration venues.”

Well said Nathanbedford, in the scheme of things it really does not matter if he gets one or ten million to attend his inaugaration. He is a despot who, along with his cronies, have destroyed America and that is all that matters to me.

To rephrase an old cliche:

“What if they had an inauguration, and no one showed up?”

Buyer’s remorse, isn’t it sweet?

It is, but these buyers do not have the intelligence to have remorse. The only things they have is stupidity, blind rage, and jealously. Parasites, American haters, and self hating Whites take those away and obama would only be another turd in the Chicago sewer. But unfortunately for America, he is in the White House.

Wimberley said she feels 'the same level of joy, happiness, excitement and celebration' for Obama's second swearing-in among the people she comes into contact with. 'Because now he can really go to work,' she said, explaining her view that another term should free him to govern without fear of any political repercussions.

The blooming idiocy of a cult.

At the Dem convention there was a last minute change of venue due to low ticket sales.

The Obama victory party in Chicago used a small venue to offset projected lack of attendees.

The West Lawn of the Capital and the National Mall are an entirely different story. Of course the could just move the inauguration to the East side under the auspices of having Obama sand where Lincoln gave his speech.

Yup. Enough free booze and Obamaphones, and Andy Jackson's inauguration party will look like a sedate little affair by comparison.

Hail Obama.

The only way they can get people to attend the inauguration is drag a few kilos of weed down the street.
