Good ending. Not good in the fact that Matthew died, but good as cliffhangers go.

I didn’t enjoy Season 3 as much as the prior seasons. Maybe it’s just losing its novelty. There was a lot of PC stuff going on this season.

I’d like to see things spiced up more with some love triangles and/or forbidden/clandestine affairs. Also some new colorful mainstay characters are needed.

Might help to have the story line progress a bit faster. We got 9 months progression last night (Mary’s pregnancy). How about 9 years?

I know it means some of the characters will have to age and/or pass away, but I hope next season begins with the two grandchildren as pre-adolescents or teens to liven things up. The grown ups are getting too stodgy and predictable.

But it’s worth watching for the costumes alone-LOL.

I don’t like the politically correct crap this season either. I loved Upstairs, Downstairs. It seemed to endure a little better. I have a feeling Downton is going to run out of steam soon. I’m I the only one that thinks Elizabeth McGovern is a terrible actress or is it just her character?

No, that's moving WAY too fast for me! I don't want to lose the wonderful Maggie Smith, and possibly Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes.

Writer Julian Fellowes claims he'll never "kill off" Violet, the Dowager Countess of Grantham, per the Maggie Smith and Julian Fellowes interview I saw on "60 Minutes" last night (first time I've watched that show in many years).
