WASHINGTON (AP) — In Connecticut and Colorado, scenes of the most deadly U.S. mass shootings in 2012, people were less enthusiastic about buying new guns at the end of the year than in most other states, according to an Associated Press analysis of new FBI data. The biggest surges in background checks for people who want to carry or buy guns occurred in states in the South and West.

The latest government figures reflect huge increases across the U.S....

...{buried deep in the article}...The numbers of checks in Colorado rose from 35,009 in October to 53,453 in December; checks in Connecticut went from 18,761 to 29,246 during the same period.

That works out to a 53% and 56% increase for Colo & Conn from before the election & Sandy Hook till after.

And read the comments from people in those states reporting completely empty shelfs in those states.

But for Obama's Propaganda Media the masses must be fed the the lie "Fewer excited gun-buyers" and "less enthusiastic."

The description of “fewer excited gun buyers” and “less enthusiastic” as compared to the other states only means that it took the gun and ammo stocks in Colorado and Connecticut a long FOUR DAYS to be totally blown out, as compared to the three day’s time (or less) than it took in all the other states.

Eileen Sullivan should be brought up on charges of “Impersonating a Journalist”. That story made absolutely no sense.
An increase is a decrease?

If I’m not mistaken, both of these states cancelled gun shows which may be a factor in the claimed “decline”. Sales would probably be even higher had the shows taken place. Listening to a radio program this weekend and a caller (from Kansas I believe) stated there were 20% fewer vendors at a local gun show. The reason was they had no inventory to display. Yeah, sales are down just like the media says.

BS. I happen to live in Colorado (decloaking just a bit here). There isn’t a single AR style weapon - any make or configuration - on the shelf in any local gun shop. Similarly no magazines for them, no 5.56 to be had other than some tracer (which some outdoor ranges don’t let you shoot due to increased fire danger). Handguns, both revolvers and pistols, are nearly as depleted. Magazines for pistols are gone like AR mags. Less enthusiastic sales? Wishful thinking by some lib wannabe gun grabber - thinks he can paint us as somehow more “enlightened” or more in line with his illogical thought process. Bull. We’ve seen the horror of allegedly gun free zones that aren’t really. We’ll defend ourselves thank you very much.

The author is a liar!

They wait time in Colorado today, is now 9 days.

This is a record rate of purchase in Colorado.

The heck with AR’s... I can’t even find a Mosin Nagant or 7.26x54R ammo for one! They used to be ubiquitous. I could pick one up for about $100 any time. Also ammo from aimsurplus.com was like $79 for 400 rounds. Now all they have is 20 round boxes for $10! I think people are preparing for a coming war...

In Texas, I can’t even find .22 or 9 mm bullets.

I went in Academy yesterday. I believe you could have poured every round of any gauge or caliber in a 5 gallon bucket.

All I wanted was a few boxes of .22 LR. They only had a few boxes of shorts left.

The only thing they had plenty of were shotgun shells. This was Academy and Gander Mountain. I often wonder if Pelosi et al make investments in firearm and ammunition stocks and then start the gun-grabber rhetoric.

“fewer excited gun buyers” and “less enthusiastic”...

What that means to me is these folks are buying Glocks (the ugliest hand gun ever made) rather than a high end reliable SIG in 9mm, 40, or 45.

How do you like me so far? :-)

Colorado did NOT cancel any gun shows. The final Tanner gun show of December was so packed at least 3 fistfights over available merchandise broke out.

And read the comments from people in those states reporting completely empty shelfs in those states.

Which is why the January NICS data will be way down from December's data nationwide.

And the headline will be "gun interest is waining..."

No one is excited about having a revolution and hanging tyrants, but that is the corner into which We The People have been backed. There’s nothing exciting about it except to those who don’t know how ugly war is. Rather it is a grim coming to grips with the task ahead in dealing an utterly corrupt government, drunk with power, evil to the core, and intent on destroying the last tattered remains of our Constitution, even if it has to stage a(nother) false flag event and sacrifice a few (more) of it’s own to do justify waging a war against Americans.
