It’s the result of decades of people CAMPAIGNING on the basis of their personal, material, immediate and temporary needs.
AND
It’s the result of decades of people VOTING on the basis of their personal, material, immediate and temporary needs.
If everyone is greedy, ignorant and unscrupulous.... this is what you get.
