Agreed. I’ve known him for over 30 years and he has been that way since the first day I met him. His family life, on the other hand, is a disaster.
Oldest child was kicked out of college for selling drugs, 2 DUIs and underage drinking. Second child has 2 children out of wedlock and is on government assistance. Youngest just got arrested for armed bank robbery.
Everything comes with a price. You hope and pray that the people you love realize it. Some folks have to learn the hard way.
I had two roommates in college who could not exist without marijuana. Stoned was the default mode for them. I later worked with people who couldn’t pass a drug test. Smoking dope was worth more to them than their job.
But they didn’t have a problem. Nope.
