Iran hopes Hagel confirmation will bring U.S. policy changes

"We hope there will be practical changes in American foreign policy and that Washington becomes respectful of the rights of nations," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said at his weekly news conference, Iran's IRIB news website reported.

He was answering a question about Hagel's views on Israel and U.S. sanctions on Iran.

That appears to be the Obama strategery.

Appoint Islamist sympathizers to key posts. Convince the Islamists to give him one of those “long-term truces” to give him the chance to build his Socialist Nirvana here at home.

These next four years are going to be hell here. Obama isn’t even trying to hide his agenda now, because he knows he doesn’t have to and in any case, we’re powerless to do anything to stop him.
