Good Lord help us!

That union woman was infuriating! I was yelling at the radio when I pulled up to the bank atm and didn’t notice another guy at the machine.

When I started my transaction at the adjoining machine he asked if I was listening to Q&R. I said yes and he laughed. He’s a fan too? Had the same reaction!

Told him about this group but he is on his way to work. Might check us out later though.

That woman was so bad I ended up turning the radio off.

Morning p6. Went back to bed for awhile. Darn dog had me up because she wanted a drink of water and to go to the bathroom. Haven’t had a good nights sleep for three nights.

Mr S is going to have to let the dog out.

Looking forward to the January thaw. I hope it doesn’t get too cold for the rest of the winter.

He’s a fan too ...was not a question. He listens on his way to work. Suprising how many times I hear Q&R on in other peoples cars, delivery trucks and convenience stores!

Karen Lewis makes $300k a year! Wouldn’t you love to see her tax return?

Boy I’m dragging this morning!

Yesterday, I met a woman who I heard explaining to her Amish-woman companion about the TSA. We were in the ladie’s restroom so I couldn’t help but hear. I had to interject with my declaration that I will NEVER fly because of that. Anyway, we got into a conversation and it turns out that the woman with the Amish companion is VERY conservative and we had a long conversation that extended past courthouse closing time! lol! I told her about Free Republic as well and we exchanged e-mail addresses. Hopefully we will have a couple of new members! This woman is a ‘prepper’ and was all excited to find someone like me. She said her Amish friend is teaching her how to do all kinds of things that people just don’t know how to do anymore.

One of the reasons mrs p6 and I watch the PA farm show is the amazing things we learn every year. We can now look at a chicken and tell what color eggs it lays, lol. Seriously the crafts, food prep, basic farm stuff is really useful for everyone.

Why anyone wouldn’t want to do prepping is beyond me and yet there are tons of people who ridicule it.

Did you see Misty Prepper? Some of the food she cooks on her wood stove is amazing! In some of her recent vids the were doing the hog slaughter bee again. Mrs p6 had to turn away, lol!

Good morning n’@!

Good on you for making a new FRiend! I do hear Q&R on other’s radios. The man who owns the building that my employers rent from listens to talk radio all day (when he is in the building he plays it in his “workroom” in the back). That is how I learned that my employers lean left...they complained to me years ago that Rush was “on” in the warehouse area....and to be “aware that Mr. Xxxx is a nutcase” (he is not...he is a really smart man!)

Anyways, I can’t listen this am now that I am @daughter’s house. I’m only staying a few hours today. The baby had her first cold & now it’s in her chest. Horrible, mucusy cough. Daughter called off to take her to dr. Poor little thing...her fever is staying around a 100 (after baby Tylenol) and she is blowing bubbles out of her tiny nose.

I see Misty’s FB posts via Ladysmith’s link. She is an amazing woman (but I can’t watch the meat butchering videos either). They were doing a hog ‘bee’ (a get together to do the butchering) and I avoided that one. It’s genetics w/me...my ancestors were seafarers (coast of Ireland).

Hi PaMom! MISTY PREPPER! I couldn’t remember the name. Since I’m off FB, I don’t see those anymore. Aren’t they on Youtube? Hey, where’s Ladysmith been? I almost - ALMOST - regret not being on FB anymore, but I felt uncomfortable being on it for some reason. My computer/data-processing expert relatives and coworkers advise highly against it. I have found a couple of other prepper websites to check out.

Mr S and I learn a lot about living off the grid from “Alaska, the Last Frontier”. Excellent show!

I have to go back and download the entirety of today’s Q&R show. I missed too much good stuff.

P6, I don’t have too much trouble with the butchering. I don’t know if I could do it myself though.

PaMom, I hope your little sweetheart grandbaby feels better soon.

Well, I’m at work now. I’m glad I’m working in the basement by myself. Yay! See yunz/yinz all later n’at!

Hey kiddies! Man, about LIVE for Misty’s videos! Including the butchering. I could get in there and dig around in the guts! Just a little more volume than cleaning fish...LOL! Sneaks, are you saying you met her?? “Prepping” is so cool - you learn so many new skills from the past.

So I’m around, been very busy... My shelves with my canning crashed Christmas morning and still dealing with that mess. One of my brothers is going to help build new shelves. In the meantime, I’m FINALLY back on getting my health back, have lost 13 pounds since NY (lots of water weight). And speaking of prepping, I’ve been canning chicken. It’s so freakin’ easy!! Got 16 pints so far, want at least 8 or 16 more before I move on to something else. (Oh, canned butter, too. LOL)

Took a break from politics, but must be “rested” cuz I’m getting interested again. :oD Glad I checked in, haven’t been on FR in ages but felt like seeing how you all are doing... How ‘bout them apples?!

Oh no! I don’t know Misty Prepper! But the lady I met at the courthouse where I work had an Amish woman with her - not Misty! The Amish lady is teaching her stuff like how to make sauerkraut, how to do canning, etc.

I’m so glad you’re posting again! Mr S and I tend to stay away from news ourselves, but I still listen to Quinn and I download Rush and Levin and listen if I’m in the mood. I think my interest is coming back though as well.

I got my new pressure canner for Christmas. i might be asking for advice. Never did pressure canning. Mr. S wants to try canning chicken soup. I like the idea of canning butter!

I wish I could find a preppers network around here. Maybe there is one, but people tend to lay low about prepping. The lady at the courthouse said she was looking for others as well, that’s why i told her to join Free Republic.

Anyway - welcome back! :-))

You’ll have to PM me just where you’re at. Maybe I can find one in the various chats and all that I go into.

What kind of canner did you get? I have a second one from my sister, Mirro Company? Don’t know much about it, no booklet of course because Sissy is terrible about that kind of stuff. LOL Sure love my American Canner even though it’s one heavy sonavabuckaroo...

Just cleaned up jars for more chicken, dark meat this time. My brothers weren’t overly fond of the canned butter on untoasted bread, not as smooth. I’ll have to ask them if it’s ok when melted a bit on toast. I havent’ tried it yet myself. I think the next batch I’ll try ghee (clarified butter) and see what they think of that. Then in March, planning on canning corn beef when that starts coming out.

As for chicken soup, I’ll have to dig into that one, that sounds good, too. The tomato spag/pizza sauce from Misty is darn good as tomato soup. The little bit extra I had was so yummy as it was!

So anytime, ask away and I’ll help out and point to videos I’m learning from. :o)
