The Phila newsradio station, KYW 1060, in its report on Biden’s task force, stated that Obama had charged the task force with finding ways to implement gun control and AVOID CONGRESS (emphasis added). Given the left leaning CBS bias, I thought that admission was very telling. An honest statement, who knew they’d do it!
An acquaintance who owns a private security firm and also is a high ranking member in a state guard told us they got a directive from the US government to prepare a training program targeted at implementing private firearm confiscation. He said beware they (feds) are planning.

There is some concern that Obama might try to Executive Order an Assault Weapons Ban by using an existing provision in the law that says the ATF can stop the sale of "dangerous firearms". He could direct the ATF through Executive Order to find that all Assault Weapons are dangerous firearms. The problem with this is that the ATF already tried this approach itself back in the Clinton Administration when gunmakers were skirting the AWB by making cosmetic changes to the guns. They got slapped down hard by the federal courts who said that the it was obvious the "danger" provision only reffered to mechanical defects. So Obama would be on VERY shaky legal ground if he tried this, and a federal judge somewhere (it only takes one)would most likely issue an injunction the next day.
