Pure business decision. ESPN noticed the backlash, and decided to cut ties to keep viewership up.

ESPN management supports people like Parker, until/unless it costs them money.

Glad to see this, but I hope ESPN is prepared for the oncoming “discrimination” lawsuit.

Another affirmative action hire bites the dust. He had no business being on air in the first place when many talented people are looking for work.

ESPN which is owned by Disney is filled with a bunch of Obama jocksniffers and closet homos. Let them sue each other and enjoy the lib vs lib purse-swinging.

Not only that, but last night Buzz Bissinger suggested that Alex Jones should be “popped with a semi-automatic rifle”.

I guess mouthing off again about the same topic on a radio show, while still on suspension, has consequences.

There’re some many sports channels now that I have not doubt
he’ll get another job. Tiki Barber and that turd Dana Jacobson have new jobs.

Hey. He may be exposed as a bigot, unemployed and now toxic to other employers, but at least he’s not a “cornball brother” . . . . . .

My first reaction to the cornball brother discussion was, o.k., so this is what some people are saying. Hey, it should be fair game to just lay it all out there in a sports commentary show, like talking trash at a bar.

Then, later, I saw an interview with the commentator, and it became clear he wasn’t talking about other people were thinking, he was talking about what he was thinking. If athletes are part of an “us” that doesn’t include me, why would I be interested?

Out on the field, where your talent is on display, it shouldn’t matter what is the color of your skin. You’re cut or not, you start or not, you get minutes or not based on only one factor: whether this will help the team win. That’s important for each person who plays the game, and for all the fans in the stands and watching via television.

There was a time when the Harlem Globetrotters were more than a clown-ish exhibition event. That was then. And, while I respect the legacy of the Harlem Globetrotter and the Negro Leagues and all that, part of the history of the country, that stuff is over. I think, nowadays, all the players are happy to wear 42 on Jackie Robinson Day. Could you imagine the outrage if only black ballplayers wore that number?
