CIA director-designate John Brennan’s stated views on the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah at times has appeared to be out of step with others in the Obama administration, which he has served as White House counterterrorism adviser since 2009.
Even before President Obama’s election, Brennan—who was Obama’s chief intelligence adviser during the 2008 presidential campaign—was promoting a shift in the U.S. approach to Hezbollah.
The Iranian- and Syrian-sponsored Shi’ite group, which also participates in Lebanese parliamentary politics, is blamed for attacks included a series of suicide bombings in Beirut in 1983 which killed more than 300 people, including 241 U.S. servicemen and 58 French troops.
In a July 2008 journal article suggesting policy on Iran for the next administration, Brennan wrote, “It would not be foolhardy, however, for the United States to tolerate, and even to encourage, greater assimilation of Hezbollah into Lebanon’s political system.” …

Hezbollah does not have moderate elements.
Either they are wearing bomb vests, or they are building and strapping bomb vests on other Hezbollah members. But their objective is the same - intimidation of the easily persuaded.
Unfortunately, a member of the Hezbollah looks almost exactly like any other poor Middle Eastern native, who may in fact NOT be a believer in the use of terror in forcing conformity upon all in the immediate vicinity. Worse, this poor Middle Eastern native, who does not believe in the essential objectives of jihad, may have had the bomb vest strapped on him against his will.
Doomed either way, as a victim or as an unwilling participant.
Why does this surprise anybody?
Is there anybody in Obama’s circle that does not share his pro-Muslim anti-Israel beliefs?

Hezbollah is quite moderate now. They have a very diverse membership, and have used environmentally friendly explosives and fuels in their missiles. They are working on a solar-powered rocket that uses light to destroy the foes of Allah with zero harmful emissions.

He probably considers Obama “moderate” as well.
Had such a comment been made in ‘83, the Secret Service would probably would have labeled him a security threat to the Exec Branch.
