“There are many people, including some here, who are perfectly okay with exploiting illegal laborers. To them, profits trump the rule of law and national sovereignty. To these people, they reap the profits while the rest of us absorb the costs and troubles brought by importing illegals, and force the costs off on the rest of us through increased crime, welfare, and loss of jobs to Americans.”
Exactly. A business owner wants to import labor. Let him assume ALL the costs involved with it and I mean ALL the costs. Suddenly it doesn’t seem like such a good deal anymore. In fact it would be cheaper in the long run to pay higher wages to citizens for the same work. If we have to rely on Mexican “coolies” for our economy to run then we have a far greater problem with this country and how its economy functions.
Yes, what we really ought to have are food stamp/section eight "coolies"...and drug dealer chain gangs.
Again, exactly. The dirty little secret is that the rest of us pay taxes to subsidize their “cheap” labor. It is cheap because those of us who don’t benefit from it are footing the bill for the medical care, schooling their kids, welfare benefits for anchor babies, criminal justice, etc. provided to illegals.
