LOL! I can hear Obama and Biden behind closed doors: “B-but how can this happen? Why won’t they lay down? Why won’t they surrender?”

A good number of NRA lobbyists and donations go to Dummycrats like Harry Reid, as an example. For the past 3 years, most of my $ go to non-GOP orgs like SarahPac, Heritage etc. Mostly PAC’s for TP members.

When the economy rebounds a little bit because of gun and ammo sales, O and his cronies will claim they were responsible for it.

I had been a member on and off a dozen times over the last 30 years. I dropped my membership 10 years ago when the NRA stopped fighting for my gun rights in California. We have had to deal with the most draconian and useless feel good gun laws in the nation, such as a bullet button for our H-Bar (AR-15)rifles that require a tool to release the magazine which can only hold 10 rounds. This California assault weapons ban is still in affect because the 9'th circuit court said that there is no right right for individuals to keep and bare arms under the 2'nd amendment. Than the SCOTUS ruled finally last year that it is what it obviously states as an individual right. So, why has the California ban not been overturned since than?

Now the whole nation is facing what we have had to deal with in California. Worst case is the Obama administration tries to enforce another unconstitutional edict and gets a lot of people killed before the SCOTUS stomps it down with prejudice. Or the congress to appease everyone to get along passes the same draconian laws we deal with on the whole nation. This too could start another revolution and or just everyone ignoring such infringements or long battles in court to overturn. So now everyone that made fun of California are now facing the same assault on your freedom.

For this reason I rejoined the NRA for two years knowing that what they let lapse and happen in California they are now going to have to fight and defend for the whole nation, which should still ultimately help undue illegal laws in California. They are still one of the best organizations to support that protect our 2'nd amendment rights. God help them to help protect our freedoms and protect us from tyranny of evil men thirsting for power.

Good idea...

My daughter contributed to the current craze by purchasing a Bushmaster AR15 in .223. The least I can do is further frustrate “The Ass With No Class Behind The Armored Glass” with 1000 armed guards is buy her a NRA gift membership.`

I gave all of my kids a gift certificate for an Appleseed shoot for Christmas and added two 10/22’s for their use.

NRA and GOA Lifer

NRA offers troops free one-year membership

By Karen Jowers - Staff writer
Posted : Tuesday Aug 14, 2007 17:07:55 EDT

Active-duty military personnel are eligible for a free one-year membership in the National Rifle Association.

A one-year membership typically costs $35. This offer will run indefinitely, said Zach Price, workplace giving coordinator for the NRA Office of Advancement. It is also open to Guard and Reserve members who have been called to active duty.

Service members can sign up for the free year’s membership online.

Benefits of membership include a subscription to an NRA magazine, $5,000 worth of accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and $1,000 of ArmsCare coverage for firearms, air guns, bows and arrows against theft, accidental loss and damage, as well as other benefits.

“NRA wants to emphasize the partnership between itself and the military,” Price said. “There’s a lot of overlap with the military in shooting sports, training classes, and a lot of present NRA members are current or former military.” The NRA’s ties with the military reach back to 1871 when the association was founded by two Union army veterans.

“We want to give a big thank-you to our active-duty troops,” Price said.

As with all similar association memberships, he said, members are asked if they want to renew at the end of their membership, as paid members.
