Clinton: I wouldn’t say that I’m “retiring,” per se

posted at 4:41 pm on January 9, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

Because why not fan the flames of 2016 speculation on a slow-ish news day?

Ed already noted that Hillary Clinton, Private Citizen is now meant to testify on the security failings in Benghazi on January 22nd, but there was another minor but noteworthy moment today when she was speaking to reporters about working to smoothly transition Senator Kerry into the post she’ll shortly be vacating.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bucked the suggestion Wednesday that she’s retiring, instead saying that she’s taking a break.

“I don’t know if that is a word I would use, but certainly stepping off the very fast track for a little while,” she said in response to a reporter’s question about her retirement plans. The comments came at Clinton’s first appearance before the press since she returned to work following several weeks of illness including a brief hospitalization for a blood clot in her head.

Have at it.

Yep, it’ll take 4 years to get her head together and jump in the 2016 race. That White House is hers and Bubba’s.....they think they deserve it what with them being the saviors of the world (in their own minds of course and I fear in the minds of too many admirers who think those two can walk on water).

Hitlery has done all the damage to America she can do as Secretary of State.

She plans on becoming president so she can finish the job.

I don't think she'll run. Her last campaign nearly did her in she was looking rough. Four years in State nearly killed her if the blood clot business was for real. Bill looks like hell too and who knows what shape he'll be in for a vigorous campaign. They'll keep their organization running with contributions from wealthy fools, hit the lecture circuit and run a bigger better Carter like Center. They'll amass a real fortune. Next a bought and paid for seat for Chelsea.

Ya think?

Since it will be tough to subpoena Obama himself, Congress needs to grill the Secretaries of State and Defense, plus the CIA Director, on exactly who did/said/ordered/failed to order/went to bed, and when, as they were passing out the popcorn in the WH situation room and watching the Benghazi attack in real time.

Funny how all three of the three key witnesses have stepped down. Coincidences are the darndest things.
