another home.
If she remained in the home , same effort could
have been used to kill the mother & children with crowbar.
Unfortunately he will live. A 9mm clip would have had more than enough rounds to end his
life.

Some little 9s have a slim single-stack of 6 or 7 rounds.And far better to have one of those than nothing.

Don’t you know ONLY the police need double-stack 19 round magazines ?

Sounds like the perp was on just enough drugs to shrug off the wounds yet just enough brains to seek medical help .He COULD have expended his enegy beating the woman and children to death before then collapsing.NOT a happy ending.

If she had shot the perp in just the correct spot in the face then a bullet would have traveled to the brain and ended it.But chances of missing the head are much greater than missing the body.And I posit that nice people are reluctant to shoot,stab, or bash someone in the face., due to cultural conditioning.
