Connecticut coroner’s worker on paid leave for letting husband view corpse of ... Lanza

An administrative worker at Connecticut’s coroner’s office has been placed on paid leave after allegedly allowing her husband to view the body of Newtown gunman Adam Lanza.

Jean Henry, a processing technician at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, could face disciplinary action after the investigation is complete, the Hartford Courant reported. She was still on leave Thursday, sources said.

Henry is accused of allowing her husband, who is not a state employee, to enter a refrigerated autopsy room where Lanza’s body was awaiting a post mortem on Dec. 16. The only people allowed in the autopsy area are authorized staff and some law enforcement personnel, the Courant reported.

During the macabre viewing, Henry unzipped the bag so her husband could look at Lanza, who shot dead 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14. The couple “openly” went in and out of the refrigerated room and at least one other employee was aware of what was happening, sources told the newspaper.

This is bad news, Uncle Chip. Nobody, but NOBODY, should be able to examine any of the evidence in this "case" until the narrative has been fully figured out. They'll get it completed all in their good time. Lots of loose ends still, though.

Back in the olden days they would have propped his open coffin out in front of the Morgue and let people get their pictures taken with it.

Wow. When I worked in Funeral Service NO ONE came into my Embalming Room, without my or my boss’s permission.

>>She has a lawsuit pending in federal court against Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Malloy’s chief legal counsel, former Democratic state Sen. Andrew McDonald, who is now Malloy’s nominee to the state Supreme Court.<<

Well... there you go.

Actually it’s bad news for all those people denying that anything happened in Newtown and crying about wanting to see the body. Atleast one person got to see the body — actually two. Perhaps a You Tube video will be forthcoming.

I’m not denying Lanza is dead. I’m just trying to figure out who killed him and his mom.

Well call Mr. Henry and ask him what he saw.

I don’t know of any FReeper who thinks nothing happened in Newtown. The body of Adam Lanza may and probably does exist but whatever body may be shown in this theoretical future You Tube video may or may not be his. I’m not sure if we really know what he looked like in the weeks before the Sandy Hook event. That b/w picture is flat-out strange and appears to be designed to manipulate opinion of him.

All the “proof” of what you believe is the truth, the current reportage of the “facts”, will come together into a cogent, believable story by the time the kinks in the narrative are settled or successfully ignored. Not all FReepers are sure about the story at the present time.

He would have had to have been a Lanza’s house or the school that day.

No, Uncle Chip, there's no need to take and post names. Wow.

I think something happened at the school that day. Every FReeper I've seen post about the subject thinks something happened in Newtown. Opinions vary as to what has actually happened.

So then no crime is ever solved unless the investigator actually witnessed it personally???

"Back in the olden days they would have propped his open coffin out in front of the Morgue and let people get their pictures taken with it."

So people could look EVIL up close?

IMHO.

It's kind of a desecration to give people, other than family, a chance to see the body although it gets people a chance to look at EVIL up close.

For what Lanza did, I would think all bets are off. Maybe not legally. But, I'm not so sure what his post-mortem rights are.

That the body was looked at by non-staff while investigation is going on is kind of dicey. Could affect the investigation.

But, after body is ready for release, I kind of think all bets are off. IMHO.

I’d be happy if ANYBODY witnessed it personally and said Lanza was the shooter. Somebody had to have seen him and who he was with.

Your statement pre-supposes that he was with someone.

And most of the time, murders have no witnesses.

And if someone said they saw him, you’d probably say they were part of the conspiracy.
