It would be nice to be required to demonstrate that one has worked 40 hours a week(even at minimum wage) b4 applying for any form of assistance(pay check stubs?). I think the work is out there once the illegals are accounted for. Throw in ‘loser pays’ provision in tort reform and eliminate a few departments and we are on our way..
Welfare is set up to reward sloth. Welfare should be increased for hours of work instead of decreased up to a point.
A revised way of looking at paying one's "fair share" is to look at the time spent on working for the "public good" (paying taxes).
It's annoying that the 47% spend 0% of their time working for the "public good". How is that fair at all?
