The real agenda behind antibullying campaign
Mpls Star Tribune ^ | 1/12/13 | Katherine Kersten

Posted on 01/12/2013 4:38:21 PM PST by rhema

Who -- in the sensitive, civilized Minnesota of 2013 -- could possibly be in favor of bullying? If you were short or fat in sixth grade, you may have cringed from bullies yourself. If your kids have endured bullying, you've suffered through it with them. No child should have to put up with bullying. So how could a decent person oppose a campaign at our State Capitol to prevent it?

But what if the antibullying campaign now unfolding there has little to do with protecting the traditional targets of bullies: kids who are pudgy, shy or "vertically challenged"? What if it's driven instead by a political/cultural agenda that's not so much about stopping bad behavior as it is about using the machinery of state education to compel children to adopt politically correct attitudes on "the nature of human sexuality," "gender identity" and alternative family structures?

What if a new antibullying law would require private religious schools -- along with public schools -- to enforce this agenda, so families who don't want to subject their kids to indoctrination in state-approved views of sexuality have no educational refuge?

In the 2013 legislative session, you'll hear lots of warm, fuzzy language from lawmakers and public officials about protecting "all kids" from bullying. You'll read about hearings designed to break every legislator's heart with tearful stories about bullying.

But every Minnesotan with a child in public or private school should understand that there's more going on here than meets the eye.

And while the task force gives the impression that LGBT students are a primary focus of bullying, evidence suggests that the vast majority of bullying is directed at other students. The DOJ surveys indicate that the percentage of 12- to 18-year-old students who reported being targets of hate-related words based on their sexual orientation fell from 1.0 percent in 2007 to 0.6 percent in 2009.

I have been invited to support the Anti-bullying movement. But I have declined as the obvious target for this campaign is to desensitize young people to aberrant behavior. When the ‘anything you want to do is ok’ crowd gets a hold of an issue, they always ruin the good intentions. But they always claim they are the ones with the good intentions.

Puhlease..Teach your children coping skills. Understanding human nature and how to deal with bullies makes for a well rounded human being. We need more people with a well developed sense of humor! There will ALWAYS be a pecking order, sometime your at the bottom, sometimes your at the top, but you never stay in one place. Be agile!

Absolutely another reason to homeschool.

Personally, I believe that the so-called anti-bullying agenda is directed at emasculating little boys and turning them into effete and ineffectual metrosexuals who will be entirely incapable of defending themselves, their families, or our nation. That's the real Marxists agenda. White boys are an especially juicy target for these Marxists.

When 6 year old first graders are expelled for pointing a finger and saying “Pow” ( as recently happened) then what is a rational person to conclude?

Very plausible. I should have known that something more was going on. Like the endless “planning is good” PSAs.

Puhlease!

Remove your children from these Marxist indoctrination centers. Work to shut them down! All of them!

As a matter of policy, anyone who dares oppose the anti-bullying agenda will be identified publicly, threatened, pushed around, harassed and humiliated.

Really, this is a problem? We need a special LAW to get teachers to tell unruly punks not to bully other kids?

Correct me if I am wrong, isn’t bullying simply a part of every day life. Are these children never expected to be bullied by a boss, or by a sibling, or God forbid bullied by the U.S. Government forcing them to buy birth control and abortions for their employees?

Besides, if we aren’t ever bullied, how do we become associated with societal norms?

It is time for both civil and uncivil disobedience to these jack booted thugs.

It's sort of the governments first commandment:

Thou shalt have no bullies before me.

Government wishes to the the one and only everlasting bully.

So true. I hate it when people at work dump my books and kick them down the hall, or assault me in the men’s room. Work is so much like school.

In other words, they will be bullied.

For Gawds sake. Teach your children how to stand up to stereotypes. We’ve turned into a country of wimps to cry at every indignation.

Teach your children to toughen up. Toughen up yourself.

Take life as reality. Deal with what comes. The weak and the frail always perish first. Raise strong children.

I actually think some amount of bullying is healthy. If it doesn’t kill you it will make you stronger... What was that song by Johnny Cash. Boy named Sue.

I think the biggest problem kids have today is that they think their farts don’t stink. We spend too much social capitol convincing kids that they are the center of the universe.

OF COURSE it’s all about the faggot agenda.
If it involves the government schools, it’s about socialism and the faggot agenda.

Parents who love their children must keep their children far, far away from the government schools. Except in the cities, I guess. Who cares about those hopeless Democrat toilets?
