A group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty.
The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who "voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty."
According to the Citadel website, Rightful Liberty means that "neighbors keep their noses out of other neighbors' business, that neighbors live and let live."
Citadel explains that residents in the community will be bound by the following:
Patriotism Pride in American Exceptionalism Our proud history of Liberty as defined by our Founding Fathers, and Physical preparedness to survive and prevail in the face of natural catastrophes --such as Hurricanes Sandy or Katrina -- or man-made catastrophes such as a power grid failure or economic collapse. Residents should also agree that being "prepared for the emergencies of life and being proficient with the American icon of Liberty -- the Rifle -- are prudent measures."
Some of the benefits of the Citadel community include a safe, well-prepared, patriotic community where children will be educated in school, not indoctrinated.
The community will be protected by a perimeter wall that will be inaccessible to "tourists." Each neighborhood within the community will have lower walls, dividing the town into defensible sections.
The website has a link to applications where prospective residents can sign up. According to Citadel, more than 200 families have completed applications, even before any land has been purchased.
While Citadel may sound wonderful to many who are reading this, the community has posted a warning on their home page:
"Marxists, Socialists, Liberals and Establishment Republicans will likely find that life in our community is incompatible with their existing ideology and preferred lifestyles."
Citadel says that every patriot selected to live within the community "will voluntarily agree to follow the footsteps of our Founding Fathers by swearing to one another our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor to defend one another and Liberty against all enemies, foreign and domestic."
Is this the beginning of the Bosniazation of the USA?
All those “malcontents” gathered into one, convenient place? Don’t tell DiFi; she’ll wet herself in anticipation.
Just saw the article about the rioting in Detroit over free government housing...Don’t think any of that will be going on in THIS community.
But if there were 2,000 or 10,000 citadels, she’d s**t a brick.
I’m thinking its smart real estate developers seeing a great way to cash in.
” All homes will be built of poured concrete for exceptional strength and durability. Your home will be built to your specs (details available at this website) with utilities stubbed to the interior. You select the facade for the exterior of your home. You are responsible for completing the interior of your home as you wish.”
>Is this the beginning of the Bosniazation of the USA?<
Righto, Pat Buchanan addresses that here:
Ping for later.
Somewhere in the bowels of Obamaland, Citadel was just placed on the DHS targeting list.
Do they have a gun range?
Sounds awesome.....but I bet Dee Cee will try to go Waco on them.
Maybe Trump’s behind it.
Sounds like an idea whose time has come ... again.
F Troop, anyone?
No thanks, no war has EVER been won based upon a solely defensive posture.
Frankly I would research history and adapt modern day technology based upon how Genghis Khan invaded Europe.
Even the Nazi invasion of Poland has very good blitzkrieg strategies.
There is some wisdom in their plan.
Individual citizens operating on their own can be taken out one at a time.
To have a chance in a SHTF moment, neighborhoods are going to need to develop coordination, structure, communication, logistics, boundaries, ID, etc.
1645: "The persons hereinafter specified shall be maintained to garrison the fort, on such allowances as shall be found most advantageous for the Company, and for greater security, the colonists and their domestics shall be holden, under certain penalties, to provide themselves with good muskets, and other weapons for their own defence, so as to be able, in time of necessity, with the garrison, to resist a general attack, without the Director, colonists, or whosoever it may be, having the power to take into the pay of the Company any soldiers..." O`Callaghan, "Hist. Of New Netherland", p.560
No “Free Stuff” folks need apply!
Didn’t Bo Gritz try something like this a while back? What happened to that? I wish them well and we seem to not have the luxury of lots of time, but I hope we can at least learn from mistakes made before, because we don’t have the luxury of making lots of them to learn from either.
I thought that F Troop became the BATFE.
There was never a Nazi Party invasion of Poland, perhaps you mean the German invasion?
Dang! That’s not too far south from where I live now. THIS could be interesting.
For some reason I feel like watching the movie “The Postman” tonight.
For those who would like to take a look...
400 years ago that would have been great, but today with fighter jets , drones, helicopters, it wouldn’t have a prayer.
Back to the future....
Citadel will only work with an ‘Iron Dome’ battery to defend it against incoming U.S. guided missiles (EMP, etc.).

I see red warning flags all over this! Don’t let it turn out to be another ELOHIM CITY, OKLAHOMA.
There are a ton of problems with that design, the least of which is manufacturing near the corner, away from decent defense.
Well, that's the stuff I see after a little of my next-door neighbor's hooch. Purple spiders, too.
Dunno about Benewah county, though. Gorgeous country near St. Maries, and it's private enough - local saying is "In Benewah no one can hear you scream." I wasn't kidding about the moose above, or the wolves. I about smacked a moose on the highway there last evening. I was headed north, he was headed east. If we collide, I lose.
I agree. I don’t see this ending well.
At first I was like “well it’s not for me, but whatevs,” until I read the part about the big wall and keeping people out, now I think anybody who moves there is an idiot. This is like shooting your balls off to protest feminism.
Sounds like Waco II, doesn’t it?
Interesting, I was having similar thoughts, though not nearly as elaborate. At first glance, my only quibble is that there should be angled bastions instead of round towers for better visibility.
I don’t know of any city that has ever withstood a prolonged siege, but I can’t stress enough the importance of uninterruptable energy, water, and food supplies.
Another lesson to take from castle design is the concept of bottlenecks and layered defenses. In the event that the outer perimeter is breached (say by marauding Marxists), progress to the inner perimeter is only via bottlenecks that are subject to attack from all directions.
You are correct, there was do direct connection between the two, my bad, its like comparing Green Berets to the Military Police in some regards.
Only one exit that I can see.
but today with fighter jets , drones, helicopters, it wouldnt have a prayer.

Put up that Star Wars that NO one supposedly wanted, couple of Carrier Defense systems.
A piranha stocked moat with drawbridges would be putting a little of the ‘old’ with the new.
It certainly will be, or perhaps like The FLDS debacle, or some combination. Could become the Harper’s Ferry moment in reverse.
“.Dont think any of that will be going on in THIS community.”
Actually those are the areas where this should be done.
Does anyone seriously believe this?
ELOHIM CITY, OKLAHOMA.

Of course, backwards that is Mihole City - in case no one noticed.
I became more aware of backward spelling after I discovered EVIAN backwards was NAIVE - very fitting....
The government could simply lay a siege and starve the community out.
Easily taken out by fuel air explosives, tactical nukes or neutron weapons! This isn’t 250 years ago and leftists don’t use honorable tactics.
Probably created by a bunch of 12 year old video gamers to see if they can get people’s credit card numbers to keep their x-box live accounts going.
