Someone plays too many video games.

Nuh-UH! I cite as my historical reference a book I just read: World War Z: An Oral History Of The Zombie War. A walled city with towers would be perfect. Oh, sure, I know a bunch of you are going to say, "But Bill, zombies aren't real." That's what they said about vampires and Godzilla, too.

I think that happened around the time 0bama told hispanics to use the election to “punish” their (and presumably his) “enemies.”

It’s really sad how many people in this country think they’re still living in a free republic when the Communist/Marxists have won the war without a shot being fired.

If a private citizen can no longer rent his property or provide business services or employ workers according to his personal discretion then what makes anyone think they can cordone off a nice little plot for themselves and live according to their beliefs. Have they been in LaLa land for the past fifty years?

The LGBT, Communist/Marxist, Liberal Progressive cesspool will swallow this project whole in short order. The only way back to a free republic will require the same measures as it did the first time. Quite frankly, I don’t see what it takes in our younger generations. The Commie SOBs handily educated that spirit out of them via public education.

> Assembling in one place is not a good idea, even if that place is hardened. Bunker buster.

Perhaps that’ll be just a decoy community inhabited by mechanical robots.

> It may be wiser to spread out and become mobile.

Agreed.

“Is this the beginning of the Bosniazation of the USA?”

It’s a high-security gated-community, just like you find in almost every third world country for professionals to live in.

I think that building defensible communities like this will be the one bright spot in real-estate in the coming decade.

Once you’ve been victimized by feral section-8 hominids you’ll understand and want to move your family to one.

I think it’s a good idea.

Dumb girl question: Obviously not a jet, but could a Kalashnikov take out a drone? (I haven’t seen a video of one. I’m assuming they’re low & slow)

I was on SOCOM.

The gamer generation would have a great chance if given the opportunity to properly train. And I don’t mean teenagers today, I’m talking about my age, mid-late 20s to early 30s. We know what it’s like to work with other people to take and hold objectives.

They don’t need bombs, hovercrafts, special forces, or sharks with freaking laser beams attached to their heads.
All they need is enough suckers to fall for this, reveal their financial data, dump some money into, and go bankrupt, living off the system.

I don’t think their intention is to fight off their kids that have joined the US military.
I think it is an effort to show the rest of the country that they can make it on their own.

For the folks who love the ocean, I recommend living aboard. There are always deals on vessels that need TLC if you keep an eye open.

I will go out on a limb and breach some conduct on just this topic.

The idea and concept is great, better yet to make it such an alluring target it draws outside resources to it in a mass wave.

A giant plant trap in effect.

make it so flagrant the progeny of Waco will be walking around with erections just itching to get another notch on their gun. Now maybe that is the original intent of this idea and I just spilt the beans, or its just a clever idea of a modern day Auschwitz, everybody thinks they are in a safe conservative haven but instead during the night the locked storage rooms become ovens.

“The government could simply lay a siege and starve the community out.”

That is possible for any community. The main benefit for something like this is to protect your family from a hostile government-benefit-receiving underclass.

The idea that the freeloading underclass and taxpaying Americans can co-exist in close proximity and are in any way compatible is folly, especially now that the freeloading class rules politically.

It doesn’t have to be Idaho, and it doesn’t have to be this plan, but banding together in like-minded hardworking communities that physically exclude those who freeload is not only wise, but prudent, in my opinion.

Just think of a hospital in a community like this that doesn’t have to treat every illegal alien in town? It might even result in affordable healthcare - by physically excluding the freeloading class.

It’s an idea whose time has come.

Just find the most decent small town off the beaten parh out in the midwest that is depopulating, with a servicable utility system including a municipal reservoir and powerplant, and buy the whole thing.

Harden the electricals, which really isn’t as difficult or as expensive as it’s made out to be. Recruit “members” possessing needed skillsets and training to make the town functional. Recruit a member who can locate a fairly large fuel storage facility there. Same with a food and grocery wholesale warehouse. Upgrade the communications systems.

Deputize and arm every adult member. Identify and quietly track visitors as well as through traffic. Then, go about your lives and hope it’s never necessary to go Jericho on the rest of the world, even though you’re positioned to do so if needed.
