Rick Perry: I Can’t Make Cuomo A Texan
ynn.com ^ | ? | ?

I’m sure I couldn’t get all 49 other governors to admit they would want to be Texans. Just reading the front of the Drudge Report today, I’m thinking Governor Cuomo would not admit he would want to be a Texan. But if he would be truthful, he would say that the economic climate that has allowed that state to grow and create jobs, he would dearly love to be able to stand up in say ‘We did this in New York. But he can’t.”

Remember the “King of the Hill” episode wherein Hank finds out he was born in New York City? I’m like Hank, a Texan born in New York City. I remember the story in Readers Digest some years ago about a Hungarian family that fled during the 1956 uprising. Their father told them they were Americans born in the wrong country.

Sometimes, I feel like I’m an American living in the wrong country.

Hre ya talking Rick, but when are you and Dewhurst going to propose legislation to nullify federal firearm restrictions?

Tough talk don’t cut it.

“I’m sure that I couldn’t get all 49 other governors to admit that they would want to be Texans,” he told a sympathetic crowd. Perry then referenced Cuomo’s support for gun control and said, “I’m thinking that Governor Cuomo would not admit that he’d want to be a Texan.”

“But if he were truthful,” Perry added, “you could say that the economic climate that has allowed the state to grow and create jobs, he’d dearly love to be able to stand up and say `we did this in New York.’ But he can’t.”

I would take Rick Perry over Andy Cuomo any day of the week.

Cuomo is a hypocrite jackass libtard.
He wants to limit magazine sizes on firearms,He wants to limit types of fire arms all while he collects musclecars.
Hey Andy, why do you need 500 HP? No one needs to drive over 55! And you’re polluting the planet with your macho hypocritical Camaro

In Texas, Perry could not give a **** what you drive, says you can have a firearm in your car and legislated 85 mph roads.

Texas had another fiscal surplus this year.
God Bless Gov Rick Perry, he just told the congress to not get giddy with the money.

In fact, Rick Perry went even further and asked for tax relief:

Tax payers should encourage the legislators to hold the line on spending. As Gov. Perry stated, “When people keep more of their own money it’s better for them, it’s better for their families, and it’s better for the state. It’s time to take a hard look at providing tax relief.”

My Dad taught me... “Never ask a man if he’s from Texas, if he is, he will tell you. If he’s not, you’ll just embarrass him.”

Funny, we’re not experiencing your statism down here. We’ve held our ground through all this craziness, and continued to grow with our leadership and the people working together. What’s more, I don’t ever have to worry about gun grabbers down here, either.

I don’t know where “down here” is to you, but down here in Texas, where I live, Rick Perry has a lengthy reputation for being a nanny statist, private property grabber, corporate welfare cronyist and illegal alien hispanderer. When you wipe away his empty conservative rhetoric, Ol’ Rick has no real personal credibility to mean much.

puhleeze.... Cuomo is the smarmy kid that got his butt whooped, went running home to daddy and everybody got in trouble.

So unless Perry can show Cuomo how to urinate standing up, defend himself without daddy’s bodyguards, and grow a set of testicles... he ain’t ever gonna be a Texan.

If you construed my comment to be a hard criticism of Perry, you are incorrecto. I simply rhetorically asked Rick why he would even want to consider making the NY wretch a Texan, let him continue to rot in the hell of New York. BTW, I live in Texas and have voted multiple times for Perry.

No, I was just making a general comparison between Perry and Cuomo.
Should Perry run again I will likely vote for him again.
