US (only) scientists in fresh alert over effects of global warming
Guardian ^ | 1/12/13 | Robin McKie

**SNIP**

The uncompromising language of the report, and the stark picture that its authors have painted of the likely effects of global warming, have profound implications for the rest of the world.

If the world's greatest economy is already feeling the strain of global warming, and is fearful of its future impact, then other nations face a very worrying future as temperatures continue to rise as more and more greenhouse gases are pumped into the atmosphere.

"The report makes for sobering reading," said Professor Chris Rapley, of University College London. "Most people in the UK and US accept human-induced climate change is happening but respond by focusing attention elsewhere. We dismiss the effects of climate change as 'not here', 'not now', 'not me' and 'not clear'.

"This compelling new assessment by the US experts challenges all four comforting assumptions. The message is clear: now is the time to act!"

In 1988, Ted Danson declared that we only have 10 years left.

If the world's greatest economy is already feeling the strain of global warming...

Well, it isn't.

I have no problem with accepting the fact that the Earth is changing. What I have a problem with are the "scientists" telling me I have to give money to some shat hole country in order to save something, and then they tell me I have to sacrifice what little freedoms and wealth I have to save more from some unknown catastrophe. Then they tell me I'm a bad person because I believe in God and that all our disasters come from big oil and major corporations (American only).

Bite me!

"The bluntness reflects the increasing confidence we have in the science and day-to-day realities of climate change," said one of its authors, Katharine Hayhoe, director of the Climate Science Centre at Texas Tech University.

Yes there is climate change. Climate change has been occurring since the beginning of time. Climate change is not a day to day reality, but takes place over a period of many years, decades.

Yes we must plan to adapt to climate change. Climate change is caused by the Sun, not mankind.

Hysterical responses, attempting to change the climate, useless burdening of the economy is not productive or useful. Such behavior is superstitious.

..........................................................

His assumption that Most people accept that human induced climate change is happening, tells you a lot about how they assumed that climate change was happening.

Their science is horse dung.Probably most peolple accept that climate change is happening, but there aint a damned thing humans can do about it.

Their so-called man-made climate change is on terminal life support, but the people clinging to their dwindling taxpayer support have no other choice than to come up with scarier scenarios.

The average temps for today are highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s but globull warming has brought in a high today of 40s and a low tonight in the 20s. Wait, that can’t be right. Never mind.

Of course;
1. Create phony crisis.
2. Get money to solve it.
3. Repeat as necessary.

Don’t worry, Obama is about to nominate Christine Gregoire, the former governor of WA to head the EPA. Gregoire has a proven record of supporting politicized environmental regulation, before she supported the construction of sub-bituminous coal ports in WA and Oregon along with endless coal trains running across the state, taking land for eminent domain, from Wyoming through WA, some of which has been continuously farmed for 125 years.

Of course, the politicized environmentalists don’t like farmers, either.

I forgot to mention that the Toronto newspaper reported that the reason that Lisa Jackson resigned from the EPA was because Obama is about to approve the Keystone pipeline and she didn’t want any part of it. So, Gregoire would be a perfect replacement since she has already demonstrated that she has no real core values to get in the way of the Democrat agenda. They never do anything without an over-arching agenda.

This time, I think that they don’t care so much about the Keystone pipeline because the oil is already being sent to the West Coast via Warren Buffet’s trains and the southern branch of the transmountain pipeline. Then, if they get the coal terminal built with our tax dollars, they will also ship the Canadian oil to China via the dock at the coal terminal. The pipeline already goes right by there. Then the oil shipments can subsidize the cost of shipping the coal because it costs more to ship sub-bituminous coal than it sells for ($12.35/ton)

just checked data from Iowa. Since 1930 avg temp is unchanged. Spring is warmer, summer and fall cooler and winter unchanged. PPT is up for year, up in spring and summer and unchanged in fall and winter. Total BS story.

Data from NOAA’s climate at a glance site.

Even if the Earth is warming or cooling there is nothing we can do about it ... except adapt. These bumbling bureaucrats can’t even submit a budget much less change the temperature of the Earth.

How much longer before these guys admit AGW, or whatever label they attach to it next to re-configure their lie, is a hoax and THAT is “settled” science?

The U.K. is the last stronghold for CAGW. The Guardian is one of the supporters of this fraud. They are searching for anything that breathes life into their dying religion.

And now they have found a paper from the U.S. that attempts to continue the hoax. The Guardian calls it a “fresh alert.” It’s more like a dying gasp.

The U.S. is headed for misery because of the debt which is piling up exponentially. When the economy collapses, surely Global Warming proponents will lose their financial support and we will see the end to these “fresh alerts.” I guess there’s a silver lining to every cloud.
