The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.
The focus on executive orders is the result of the White House and other Democrats acknowledging the political difficulty of enacting any new gun legislation, a topic Biden did not address in Monday’s meeting.
“It was all focusing on enforcing existing law, administering things like improving the background database, things like that that do not involve a change in the law but enforcing and making sure that the present law is administered as well as possible,” said Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.).
But Biden did indicate that the remains of the Obama campaign apparatus may be activated in the effort.
“He said that this has been a real focus on the policy and that the politics of this issue, that a strategy on the politics of the issue hasn’t been undertaken yet,” Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) told POLITICO. “He did remind us that the campaign infrastructure is still accessible.”

I find in ironic that most Americans including the NRA supported preventing felons (who had served their time and paid their debt to society) from possessing firearms, this gave the communist a foot in the door for gun control. 10 million criminal aliens walk free. Bo turns his hatefilled vengence on US citizens and will enforce laws against them. The gun thing was pre-planned for his second term and they had calculated there would be a school shooting at some point that would serve their purpose.

You need to replace the word, “calculated” with “orchestrated”. This was all to convenient. Another Fast & Furious operation? I would not doubt it a bit.
If the dictator even tries this, the Republicans have a duty to draw up impeachment papers for abuse of executive power, and possibly treason (weakening the American citizens ability to defend his/herself from the criminal elements).

And Norm (and his ilk) will fall for them every time because he's nothing but an Axelrod conservative using the disguise of purity and "principle"; his responsibility for this monster being elected for the second time is all over him like egg on someones face, yet he preens around as if it's a good thing he's done. Agree, in fact isolated incidents would play into Obama's hands. That's why I said that massive civil disobedience is needed. Groups like the tea party network, the NRA and the GOA need to take the streets will millions of demonstrators around the White House rather than continuing to play negotiated defeat incrementalism by hoping to limit our defeat.

I guess saying it all throughout the campaign was not good enough for some of you, so I will shout it again just for you. I WAS NOT A ROMNEY SUPPORTER. Are you capable of reading that and processing it? I WAS NOT A ROMNEY SUPPORTER. In fact, I was a Tea Party supporter. Romney was next to last on my list, just ahead of Ron Paul. Up until the day before the election, I was undecided whether to leave “President” blank on my ballot and just vote for conservatives and the most conservative propositions. After all, my vote on the national ticket didn’t really matter because California was not in play.
We had a very bad choice to make. Although my national vote didn’t matter, I did not want to be part of history that allowed Obama to win by even one more vote in the popular tally.
I don’t know why, but for some reason you have a need to misrepresent my position. There are many things wrong with Romney’s position, but Obama was unthinkable. Had Romney been elected, I would have been out in the street leading the charge to fight him where he was wrong. With Obama, we are going to get to the position where we are not allowed in the street to protest. We have never seen anyone like him. The danger he poses to this great republic is incalculable.
