The National Rifle Association released a new video on its Web site Tuesday calling President Obama an elitist hypocrite for having Secret Service protection of his daughters at school but saying he was skeptical about installing armed guards in all schools.
The NRAs provocative, 35-second video is as harsh as any attack ad in a political campaign and illustrates how emotionally charged and personal the debate over gun control is becoming.
Are the presidents kids more important than yours? a deep-voiced narrator asks. Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school? Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but hes just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security.
A White House spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

All references to these clowns should be: Radical left wing extremists. Or worse.

I like this NRA Stand and Fight ad campaign.
Don't know that I've ever heard such strong language applied to a President of the United States in a political ad -- campaign or issue-oriented. "Elitist hypocrite" is a serious and disrespectful pejorative.
Not that it isn't absolutely accurate.
Further evidence that the country is becoming irrepairably divided and that compromise is simply out of the question.
Unless, of course, you're a Congressional Republican...
WTG! Using Alinsky tactics against the Alinskyite!
This ad illustrates how harsh things are getting? No, Obama's condescending implication that anyone who takes their 2nd Amendment rights seriously is responsible for the killing of school children convinced me a long time ago.
The NRA is simply reacting.
So where the heck is the GOP? It’s like they don’t know how to defend the Constitution. No surprise millions stayed home in Nov.
Can’t imagine why.
Forget the Secret Service protection of his family, what about the hypocrisy of his kids attending private school?
It is unprecedented coming from our side, which has traditionally shown the president the utmost respect, as we try to respect the office.
But since Obama has delighted in burning down our traditions and disrespecting our heritage, why should he get the benefit of this particular tradition?
Very impressive ad. It really tells it like it is, which is almost unprecedented.
Karl Rove disapproves. Mitt Romney is shocked. Boner is speechless.
What about the fact that some children in his daughters’ classes at Sidwell Friends were there under a successful voucher program and he did away with it?
Somebody should make an ad about that.
My children attend school with armed teachers and principal. My children are under armed guard 24/7, 365 days/year.
We home school, and we are armed.

I forgot to say three cheers for the National Rifle Association.
Yep, and not one of the idiots in the media and not even the Republicans are standing up and saying to Obama all of your proposals to solve the problem that happened at Newton are stupid, gun registry won’t stop what happened, passing executive fiat that make clips with less capacity or which ban any type of legal firearms is unconstitutional and won’t stop what happened... The only real measure put on the table that has a possiblity to help stop another tragedy like Sandy Hook is exactly what the NRA proposes in this video and the Radical left wackoos laugh at it and call it nuts..... How dare Obama and the radical left use the murder of innocents to push their extremist ideological agenda it is simply sick and they need to be called out on it.
“Elitist hypocrite” is a serious and disrespectful pejorative”
It’s about time people starting calling that fake and phoney ass for exactly what he is.
