Live. “Billy Bones”
1949, Ode to the welfare state. Read into the congressional record in reponse to Truman’s policies.
In effect today
That was an interesting opening segment.
Levin must be aware that Savage has been calling him names recently. Levin mused about doing a whole hour dedicated to Savage’s life. That ought to be interesting.
heh. I would tune in to hear it!
I don’t know a single man who fears walks like a duck.
Maybe his mad bicycle skills? Maybe his Chi-town queer card?
?????????
Book club. yeesh.
And we gone. See ya on the flipside.
It's an old Hitler trick of reducing the labor participation numbers.

But was this true or did the Nazi propaganda machine move into overdrive to persuade the nation and Europe that she had achieved something that other European nations had not during the time of economic depression?
[End of quotes]
it took decades before free speech was returned. Doesn't Savage remember that? It happened!
I remember the decades of the "Fairness Doctrine;"
the First Amendment remained but conservative opinion was stifled by simply having shills complain about media content thus threatening the station owners' licenses..
Similar shenanigans could be afoot with respect to the Second Amendment -- we keep the Second Amendment but . . . .
I drove a friend to Walgreens just now and had Savage on the radio, and the friend said “hey this guy’s great, who is he?”.
Hjalmar Schacht was largely responsible for the German economic recovery.
The link does name Schacht and his role. I'll try to remember to include Schacht up front. Thanks.
I heard that. He called Savage “The Manchurian Conservative” I about spit my drink. haha
I read a few comments from other sources about how it started. None were correct by my recollection.
After becoming syndicated Savage started name-calling competitors including Limbaugh and Hannity. Neither man responded. Levin either with the approval of his two friends or entirely on his own reacted to Savage and it was off and running. That was years ago IIRC not long after Levin's show started on KSFO San Francisco.
No matter how good he is Dr. Savage will never be Number One while attacking his competitors -- especially while opining that it is a waste of time to name-call opponents, if I heard him correctly on 15 Jan.
If the feud could be parlayed into a kind of Bob Hope - Bing Crosby friendly feud they'd get a lot of attention.. but it is more like a high school popularity spat or worse, Hatfield-McCoy.
